I'm modifying my prior review. I've been using it at least several times per
month and it worked fine. All of a sudden went to use it today and it was dried up. Only had it 8 months. This is my first Schmidt refill so I don't know if this is just a fluke. Went back to using the original black cartridge that came with the Retro 51- it still works fine.

I was wait for the bright green pen so was excited when the Green Retro 51 became available. The green Schmidt ink seems to flow better at start up than the black ink that came standard with the pen. The black standard ink seems to smear slightly upon impact on paper as the green ink. Very minor. While in have not tested the two inks back to back, the green Schmidt ink seems to take a tad longer to dry than the standard black ink.
I still rated the green Schmidt ink a 5 and will buy it again.
