I will be using this pen in my art journals and needed it to be able to write over mix media layers. Very good pen for the task

I use these pens as a kindergarten teacher, sort of like a flair pen. I'm disappointed in the tip. Writing with too much pressure has flattened the tip, making me have to test it on another piece of paper and twirling it around until it's just right. It writes surprisingly smoothly even with this error.

The pen writes very well, but I rather hate the hard step from rubber grip to plastic-collar/metal-body. As I grip the pen the the hard transition rubs against the top of my hand. It writes well enough that I've been using it as an EDC for a month despite the design shortcomings, but I'll probably trade it out before too long.

I haven't been a huge fan of Sharpie brand pens in the past, but this one changed my mind. The tip is stronger than most and the body is comfortable in the hand.

Reason why I gave it 4* would be that the ink isn't really a true black. The color of the ink really says a lot to the quality of the pen and this one is a fairly dark gray. I imagine part of this has to do with the paper being white and how Sharpie's ink works with it but as far as basic applications it will be gray.
