With Sonic's Nobirura, you have two rulers in one: it is a 16 cm (6.3 inches) ruler that extends to become a 30 cm (11.8 inches) ruler. In its compact 16 cm form, the ruler conveniently fits in your pencil case. The clip lets you clip it to your notebook and papers, and it serves as a handy bookmark. Once extended to its long form, the ruler is long enough to draw straight vertical lines down an A4-size page. Extending the ruler is easy and smooth—simply grip the clip and slide it out until it snaps into place. The name "Nobirura" conveys this unique feature, by incorporating "nobiru," the Japanese word for "extends". The ruler is not only functional, but is aesthetically attractive, made of transparent acrylic and coordinating plastic.
The Sonic Nobirura Extendable Ruler is a must for any math, science or OCD
student out there! With its retractable feature, this ruler can be easily stored
in a regular pencil bag, then extended for its full potential when needed. At
first, I was skeptical of the section that slides out. I thought maybe it would
break off easily, come loose or get stuck. To my great and happy surprise, the
extendable section slides out of position smoothly and clicks into place to line
up for the full 30 centimeters. With the clear body, it is easy to line up with
ruler with anything and will surely fulfill any OCD tendencies.
I do caution you that sometimes the second half (extendable half) will bend side
to side under pressure, so your lines may sometimes be crooked. To make sure it
does not move, hold down both sides of the ruler with one hand--your thumb on
the extended portion, your middle three fingers on the clear section, and your
pinky and palm on the table or solid surface.
it's super cute :D i;ll give it that, and retractable is convenient to fit in my
pencil bag butttttt, mine came on backwards so I waas scared trying to fix it
without breaking it, I did manage to though. so good. very good :3!
The extending this product can sometimes be troublesome, what I mean by this is
the piece of plastic at the back to keep the extended part of the ruler from
getting out of place can be easily broken and once you extend your ruler it can
be difficult to pull it down. The ruler is also thicker than other rulers, making
it inconvenient to see where you are ruling.
I expected a flimsy thing but this ruler is actually very sturdy and functional.
Bought it as a gift to a 10 year old who couldn´t fit in her pencil case a
ruler long enough to draw margins in her notebooks at school. Works well, in
almost daily use for months now.
