The .3mm in this case refers to the line width not the actually tip size. I first noticed this distinction when using the Staedtler ".3" roller ball pen and realized it was like a .7 ...So, just realize these roller balls in the .3 form are not the same as their gel pen counterparts. = )

I agree with the first poster. It's the thickest line ever laid down by any 0.3mm pen I've ever used :( I'd say it's closer to a 0.7 or even 1mm. To bad really. I had high hopes for this pen. I even wondered if I accidentally got the wrong point size by mistake. If you're really looking for a fine line this is NOT the pen for you.

This pen feels larger in one's hand than it appears and the firmness is also uncomfortable. The "fine" description is incorrect... this "0.3" pen writes more like a 0.5 or higher. Sadly to say, this pen was not worth the money.

I was fairly disappointed in this pen. The point size is more like a 1mm than a 0.3mm, and the ink bleeds through even the best of papers. The only plus is that it is comfortable to hold.

While a nice shade of bright green the line produced is wide - more like a .5 or .7 and not a .3.
