Staedtler Avant Garde Light 2 Color 0.7 mm Ballpoint Multi Pen + 0.5 mm Pencil - Valencia Orange Body

This multipen is not bad. It works fairly well, but the clip came off in less than 1 yr. I expected better quality from Staedtler.

For a couple of days of usage, I'd give it pretty high marks. First, I don't think the pictures on the website do it enough justice. I ordered the green tea version which looks and feels awesome. The thickness is barely more than a usual pen, while its multi functional design is well hidden. Initially I thought that replacing pencil leads would be impossible unless you buy a new insert. With instructions in Japanese and only a few pictures I finally figured it out. Writing with both ballpoint choices feels smooth. The mechanism for switching colors is interesting and intuitive. Pencil also works well although a bit different from a conventional drafting pencil. I really like the overall package and recommend it to anyone with a need for a high quality multi-functional pen.
