Staedtler Textsurfer Classic Highlighter Pen - Red

This is my fav highlighter and color to highlight super important topics. I also use orange and yellow for the general stuff. I highly rec b/c it doesn't smear with printer ink, the flat shape of the highlighter is actually a good thing, and its high quality, it should last a while for you versus other brands!

Note: color isn't red...its more of a mix btwn red and orange which is actually easier to read with black font

Since I was the one to beg Jetpens on facebook to get these highlighters I must write a review on at least one of them. I am choosing the "red" because this is the most original one... GREAT color! not a red... but like a orangy BRIGHT coral that ROCKS for highlighting "test questions"... All of the highlighters are the bomb.. NO smudging even when highlighting liquid ink pen that is on corrective tapes or when using inkjet print outs!

Just the perfect color for a highlighter. It's very vibrant and the color lies somewhere between orange, red, and pink.
I was hesitant to try these at first because of their flat shape, but it turned out not to be an issue. I actually threw away all my other brands of highlighters and am totally smitten by these Staedtlers.

The color is the classic highlighter-yellow, and as advertised doesn't smear over ink-jet printing. The cap is secure when closing the pen, but a little loose when placed on the end of the pen (in active use).

I also bought the little pot of refill ink, but I haven't needed it yet, after several months. It seems to last a long time, probably due to the chubby barrel.

I like the flat shape -- easier to control when marking text.

So these are the reasons I have abandoned the other highlighters in my desk. Too bad -- I have some nice Mildliners and Staedtler highlighting pencils, but I this one is the one I use all the time.

As a highlighter, this product did what it needed to do. None of the ink or print smudged as I used it. Being advertised as copy-proof, however, I was disappointed when all the documents I scanned at work using this highlighter were blacked out in the places where I'd used it. The turquoise is amazing, but stay away from purple if being copy-proof is a big deal for you.
