I generally love Staedtler...

I generally love Staedtler products and I have to say this pen feels great in the hand. The triangular shape is very comfortable and the pen is light-weight without feeling flimsy. With my favorite soft lead, this is great for doing crossword puzzles.

BUT...there is a major drawback to the pencil. The eraser is slightly too narrow in circumference for the holder, so that when one depresses the top of the pencil to advance the lead, one ends up with the eraser being pushed down so that it is slightly below the edge of the pen. This makes it useless as an eraser and difficult to remove in order to refill the lead. I now have jury-rigged a solution by stabbing the side of the eraser with a paper clip to keep it from sinking out of sight. Not so attractive.

It feels very well balanced and weighed in my hand unlike one of those cheap plastic ones. Also, nice to have extra long eraser!
