Made in Germany, this high-quality, eco-friendly pencil appropriately features a green-colored body. It is the first extruded pencil made up of 70% wood, and its wood is sourced from certified PEFC forests. It writes up to two times longer than a Staedtler Norica pencil, one of Staedtler's general everyday writing pencils, and is easy to sharpen. It also features a latex-free and PVC-free eraser.

I'll give this pencil points for eco and appearance, as well as the feel of the body, but the writing experience is awful. Its waxy; it's weird. As far as eco friendly pencils go, both Palomino (Forest Choice) and Stabilo (Greengraph) are reasonably priced and offer a far more authentic writing experience.

Lead is lighter than some pencils with nice clean lines. I'm able to press and get a wide, dark scribble without the lead flaking or breaking. I used an Ippo pinch-point pencil sharpener which gave a sharp shallow point, which means a stronger point but frequent sharpening. Keep a sharpener nearby. After a while of pressing and sharpening I can see some people getting sore. The eraser does its job but tends to leave a shadow. Probably not great for a professional environment. Pencil and lead has a waxy look and feel.
