I ran out of the B grade today, so I decided to give the 2B a try. They work
really well.....not much of a difference between the B and this 2B, I actually
don't notice it at all. I expected this one to be darker, but it wears down just
as fast as the B. Nonetheless, I really enjoy these leads, they are super smooth
and are the only 2mm brand I've tried besides Staedtler. Overall, nice leads for
drawing, sketching, and just doodling around. If you have any doubt in your mind
that these leads are not quality ones, because of their price, get that out
right now! This series of leads is great: super smooth, strong, and
long-lasting. Highly recommend the B and 2B versions of it.

I love this lead, but a word of warning: this is NOT 2B. I'd say it's more a 5
or even 6B. But I love to use very soft lead, So it suits my needs perfectly. So
if you don't like soft lead, I'd steer clear.

Sun-Star SharPits Lead Holder Refill - 2 mm - B - Pack of 3
Very good, strong, and looong lasting leads! This is my first time trying out
leads that are not HB's from local stores. These do not smear and sharpen very
easily with the Staedtler 2mm lead pointer. Highly recommended. (I also recomend
to put these in a different 2mm lead holder than the one it is intended for, to
avoid lead breakedge.)

When I first saw these (and their holders), I dismissed them completely. They
looked like cheap toys, rather than high-quality stationery. However, I
eventually decided to try the leads after they were recommended to me. Long
story short, I was impressed.
They're very, very smooth. Dark too. They are a little on the soft side for
their grade, as is common in many of the high-end Japanese pencils (the leads
are Japanese as well, though the holder is made in China). I hadn't expected
anything special, so it was really a shock to use them the first time. In a
heavier leadpointer, it's a fantastic writing experience.
However, they're not perfect. Even for a B grade, they're a little soft, and
will not retain a super-fine point very long. If you're an ultra-small writer,
these aren't really ideal...but then again, neither is any other B pencil. They
work wonderfully though if your handwriting isn't microscopic.
All in all, this is a great lead. Well worth checking out if you're into
darker/smoother graphite.
