I just did some eraser...

I just did some eraser comparisons. The NP Mono came out dead last in all tests against W-Foam, Staedtler Mars Plastic and Campus 2B. C2B blew the others away in every regard. The NP Mono was the only one that left traces of lead behind on every test. The Staedtler did not fare too much better, and that was my previous go-to. The W-Foam was pretty good, and certainly the best at generating one long thread of spent rubber. The 2B is far and away the best one. This little NP Mono isn't especially good.

One caveat - I tried this only with 4B lead.

Not as good as the original...

Not as good as the original Mono erasers, but since those've been removed from the market, these are a great runner up. For the most part, these erasers erase cleanly, without tearing up my paper or smearing. If you have a lot of soft graphite on the page, I recommend erasing slowly, otherwise there will be smearing from the graphite buildup on the eraser itself.

It's basically the eraser I grew up with and used in all my math classes in grade school and college, but more earth-friendly! No other eraser compares.

This is a really good eraser! It's small but it's a good way to try out the product before buying the larger size.
