I understand people's objection to the short length of the refills for this
eraser, but I don't know of any other eraser (other than perhaps electric ones)
with the precision of this one. As an animator I need that precision all the
time -- for cleaning up lines or just erasing exactly the part of the line that
I want to erase. Tiny is awesome!
Speaking of which, this is a great eraser to use with the Pentel PG-2 pencil
(Which uses super-tiny 0.2mm lead).

This is a great eraser....,
August 17, 2011
This is a great eraser. I have no idea how other reviewers run out of it so
quickly. I use mine every time I draw, and I've only replaced the eraser one or
two times (I've had mine for 3+ years). It's easy to refill, use, and store or
carry around. I bought one as a gift for another artist and they swear by its
irreplaceability! This is NOT for erasing large areas, obviously. You want this
for very fine detail work, in which it will never fail.

I like Tombow products, but I think this eraser goes too fast. I agree with the
other reviewer...get the Paper Mate "Tuff Stuff" Eraser Stick instead. Tombow
has the advantage of being thinner but the Tuff Stick on the other hand is firm
and lasts a VERY long time and can still eraser fine detail.

March 11, 2009
I was a little bit upset at the length of this eraser (At only the length of
2in. (5.08 cm)) That's the only flaw I can see with this product. The precision
of this eraser is magnificent. I really to like this product. But the size of
the eraser is a little small for my liking. It's a good product if you only need
precision at times. But for someone who wants it ALL the time, you'd better buy
a few packs of refills. You will need them.

November 18, 2007
unfortunately this along with the other tombow mono zero eraser are really no
more useful than as a novelty item or a collectible. its really just an over
designed eraser. the major problem with it are the size of the eraser sticks..
they're really no more than about 2 inches in length, and the rest of it has a
piece of thin plastic attached to it in order for the advance mechanism to
function. I ordered several replacement erasers when purchased the erasers, but
i'm almost afraid to use them since they're going to go fast. my advise if you
need a thin eraser, grab yourself a tuff stick.readily available here in the
U.S. at an affordable price.

This ERASER is HORRIBLE....,
December 9, 2010
This ERASER is HORRIBLE. It is very thin, thinner than I expected and does not
erase anything. The eraser refills are a rip-off so do not buy them. After 2
weeks, I changed my refill. It is a waste of money. There are better erasers for
better prices.

This review is from
Tombow Mono Zero Eraser - 2.5 mm x 5 mm - Rectangle - Silver Body
While the standard circle style Mono Zero easily found a use in my kit, this one
is still struggling to find it's place. The flat thin shape of the eraser makes
it difficult to make sense of what it's ideal function is.
It's too wide to be precise, unless you use the corners of the eraser, in which
case it's hard to see what you're erasing. It can be used as an all around
eraser intended for a less precise function taking advantage of it's wide
coverage. In that case it's kind of a rare beast to be used for everyday use.
Keeping a healthy stock of refills might prove difficult in the long run.
Again, like the other models of Mono Zeros, the eraser does not extend to the
bottom of the barrel. It's about three inches long with a plastic lead extending
the length which feeds into the advance mechanism. While it sucks to have an
eraser shorter than expected, the quality is tops. Tombow definitely knows how
to make things disappear. Plus, it looks way cool.

This eraser is just brilliant. It reaches into tiny places with near surgical
precision, and does a great job removing pencil marks. I can't recommend it
highly enough.

Tombow Mono Zero Eraser - 2.3 mm - Circle - Silver Body
A friend of mine got me this in a trip and it was so useful for my drawings that
I got multiple refilling packs! I won't be running out of this eraser anytime
soon!
It has been so good getting to the smaller areas that my bigger erasers couldn't
get to as easily when I'm doing an all pencil pic.
I recommend any artist who needs help getting the smallest areas in their
pictures to use this!

Not a long eraser but very very accurate. The eraser portion itself is only
about 2 inches, but its great for erasing very minute details.

This eraser looks really great. The housing length is 12 cm long and .9 cm wide.
The eraser is only 5 cm long and .2 cm wide. When you purchase the refill the
actual eraser is less than half the length of the packaging(bad). There is an
advantage of using this over a block style eraser for precision erasing(ei.
drafting). It's entirely made of plastic save the guide pipe. It's a tad on the
light side but still feels good to use. The advantages do out weight the
price(again for precision).

Tombow Mono Zero Eraser - 2.3 mm - Circle - Silver Body
I think some people reviewing this eraser are missing the intended purpose for
this tool. This eraser tool works perfectly at removing small areas; it is very
precise and erases perfectly with ease. This eraser is fast becoming something I
always want to have around. The length of the refill eraser isn't really a good
indicator for how long it will last. The areas I'm using it for are small and
so far the eraser itself is lasting a lot longer than I expected.

sure to purchase extra refills as the eraser is only about 2 inches in length.

Tombow Mono Zero Eraser - 2.3 mm - Circle - Black Body
Wonderfully useful for erasing small areas. Eraser is quite solid in use, won't
slide back in while erasing. Doesn't quite stack up to the chunkier Boxy or
Staedtler erasers in terms of erasing power, but who will notice if your
corrections are so small?

Tombow Mono Zero Eraser - 2.3 mm - Circle - Silver Body
This eraser is absolutely amazing! If you're looking for an everyday eraser this
is not the thing for you, however it's perfect for sketching when you need to
reach into small areas and remove some graphite. Also, if you buy this, make
sure you buy lots of refills as well - you will need them.

This review is from
Tombow Mono Zero Eraser - 2.5 mm x 5 mm - Rectangle
If you are looking for something to erase regular pencil lines (writing,
sketching, etc) this is probably not the best eraser since it's too small.
However if you are an artist, like me, this can be very useful in erasing small
details that normal erasers can't get to

This review is from
Tombow Mono Zero Eraser - 2.3 mm - Circle - Black Body
This is a nice eraser for erasing micro-details. I'm very happy with it and it
complements my larger Staedtler eraser stick. One minor criticism is the
mechanism allows the eraser to be pushed back up the sleeve if you apply to much
pressure. Not a problem. You don't need to apply much pressure when erasing
small detail. However if the sponginess bothers you then just by the refills
and stuff it in an extra 2mm leadholder you may happen to have. A leadholder
would actually allow you to use up almost the entire eraser because the
leadholder jaws require little area to firmly hold the eraser in place.
Goodluck

Tombow Mono Zero Eraser - 2.5 mm x 5 mm - Rectangle - Black Body
This, this product is wonderful. Much more effective than relying on corners. I
thought I wouldn't be using it much (and I didn't) until I started drawing
comics again, and it's perfect since I work on a relatively small scale. I used
to use an eraser guard (thin metal sheet with holes) but this is MUCH more
convenient and effective. In fact, I may get the smaller round since for some
cases this isn't small enough!

This review is from
Tombow Mono Zero Eraser - 2.3 mm - Circle - Silver Body
The eraser feels dry and faily hard but doesnt leave behind alot of 'eraser
slivers' like ye olde rubber erasers. Its also not gooey & greasy like a few
erasers that just smear your graphite all over the page! LOVING this eraser! Do
not use it to erase big areas unless you want to go broke. It is meant to erase
parts of the eyelashes you are drawing and other details which it does with
righteous fury.

Tombow Mono Zero Eraser - 2.3 mm - Circle - Silver Body
This is an awesome little thing. I think the silver body of the eraser is quite
visually appealing, and makes it seem very professional. The actual eraser
itself does a good job of erasing things precisely and cleanly. Definitely a
must for lovers of good erasers!

The mechanism is great. Its beautiful. The only thing is that the eraser doesn't
compare to an actual block eraser.
