DescriptionSpecificationsQuestions & Answers
The Tombow OLNO (derived from "oruno" which means "bend" in Japanese) mechanical pencil, features a unique design mechanism that allows the user to extend pencil lead by simply bending the body. The body can be bent in any direction, making it very easy for writers or drawers to extend lead without changing their grip at all. In addition, there is a standard clicker for extending lead using the top knock button, which removes from the pencil body to become a small hand-held eraser. Unscrew the pencil body above the grip area to insert refill lead.

Pencil dimensions: 5.6 inches (14.3 cm) long and 0.5 inches (13 mm) in diameter at widest point on grip.

The lead advancement mechanism is totally bizarre, you'd never imagine it works so well - it's incredibly natural. It's my new favorite fun pencil. Speaking of bizarre, some of the color pairings and the eraser are pretty strange too! Try one, you'll love it.

The lead advance mechanism...

The lead advance mechanism is very cool, but the eraser is difficult to use. For others, that might be a bad thing, but to me it means that no one will use the eraser and it will stay perfect :). However, the grip does begin to yellow after a while, but that happens to most pencils with clear grips.
