Very good drafting style...

Very good drafting style mechanical pencil. I've used the Zebra Drafix and this one has a better grip due to the metal knurling on the Uni. The cap, clip, tip and grip is metal but rest is plastic. The balance is not front heavy as it looks due to the grip is a metal sleeve and not solid metal. For the value, the Zebra is better, but if you don't have this one in your collection its a good choice.

This a good pencil overall...

This a good pencil overall built around a metallic end (aluminum) and the upper half of ridged plastic. The plastic is study and Does NOT flex in use unless you write/draw with a fist like a cave man! The lead feeds out in short, even increments and does not spin, rotate or have any play. If you do not mind its light weight than you will love this pencil and I would suggest getting the set over time or all at once. However after using Japanese/German drafting pencils for some time now, I can only give this a 4.0!

This series of pencils are excellent as entry level drafting pencils but they make a great, low cost alternative to some of the higher priced pencils. They are excellent mechanical pencils, well made and made to last. They are well balanced and make good all round drawing/writing pencils. They have features that some of the more expensive brands lack, like an easy to adjust LGI. For the price of just one of some of the more expensive brands you can have all 5 Zebra Drafix.
