All those other "comfy" grips seem like hard rubber compared to this one. Squeeze it and it'll bring an instant "Oooooooo" to your lips. It's the same gel that's famous for keeping an egg from breaking even when dropped from a 5ft height!

For those who like the Alpha Gel but prefer a thinner body, this Alpha Gel Slim mechanical pencil is for you! Often times the standard Alpha Gel pen and pencil line, though very ergonomic, won't fit in smaller accessories such as planners. This Slim line gives you the same squishy grip you have grown to love but in a more slender size for easy portability. Body is made of metal and is available in black, rose pink, royal blue, and white colors.

I draw comics for a living, and this pencil is one of my absolute FAVORITES!

***HIGHLY RECOMMENDED FOR PEOPLE WITH ART CALLOUSES!!***

I normally would use a Pentel GraphGear 1000 .3 mechanical pencil, which is a nice, heavy pencil, but rough on art callouses... The Alpha Gel is a very light pencil, in contrast, which took some getting used to... but the COMFORT makes this pen WORTH getting used to! The pain in my art callous was virtually ELIMINATED, and now I almost cannot work without this pencil.

Will be ordering MORE, just to have back-ups!

Uni ball is my favorite pencil making company by far. They put incredible work into their pencils to have the most comfort while writing. The Slim pencil is no exception and maybe one of the best pencil from uni-ball.
First of all the grip to the pencil is very nice having a good squish but not being to squishy as i found the hd pencils to be. The clip is really nice and i don't think it will ever break.
If you are worried about .3 lead it matters really on how you write. If you are a hard writer don't get this pencil since the lead will just break on you. If you are a soft writer a suggest ordering many packets of .3 lead, since you probably wont be able to get .3 lead anywhere else.

Uni-ball Alpha Gel Slim...
Uni-ball Alpha Gel Slim Mechanical Pencil - 0.3 mm

Good:
- Gel provides comfort to those that write fast or for a very long period of time.
- Light-weight, perfect for those pencil spinners out there.
- Clip is the best out of all the Alpha Gel series.
- Smooth, brilliant design.

Bad:
- Too small to write very accurate things in with a big hand.
- The cap can come off easily if used over and over again.

Overall, this is a pencil that is recommended for students who like light weight pencils with great grip to write with.

I LOVE this pencil! The...
I LOVE this pencil! The thickness of the grip is great for me, and I definitely love how I write with it.
Two things I don't like about this is that in the middle of the pencil is a silver thing and the paint is starting to chip off slowly. Another thing is that when I write a lot, the pencil cap tends to get loose, which I have to often check to make sure the cap is screwed tightly. I'm not sure if that happens to other people though. It's also great for writing math equations too!
