All those other "comfy" grips seem like hard rubber compared to this one. Squeeze it and it'll bring an instant "Oooooooo" to your lips. It's the same gel that's famous for keeping an egg from breaking even when dropped from a 5ft height!

For those who like the Alpha Gel but prefer a thinner body, this Alpha Gel Slim mechanical pencil is for you! Often times the standard Alpha Gel pen and pencil line, though very ergonomic, won't fit in smaller accessories such as planners. This Slim line gives you the same squishy grip you have grown to love but in a more slender size for easy portability. Body is made of metallic plastic and is available in a variety of colors.

I have had this pencil...

I have had this pencil for about a week now. I am fairly particular about mechanical pencils, and this one is a very good one. I bought the silver with black grip, 0.5 mm. I use Pentel ain Stein leads, HB Soft, or B. This pencil advances very well, the grip is perfectly soft for me, and with the black grip color, I don't really notice that it gets dirty like the others might. The only complaint would be that the eraser is basically useless because it's so small, and it's difficult to get to. But, I always use an eraser like a Boxy, so it's not a big deal to me. I will likely never use the pencil's eraser anyway.

And, just generally, I love JetPens. Quick delivery, great products at fair prices.

Nice average pencil,...

Nice average pencil, but the grip and body look makes this pencil really awesome. I strongly advise buying eraser refills.
