I'm guessing one of the previous reviewers had a faulty pen because my 0.38mm does not skip at all. It writes perfectly and the lines are truly 0.38mm. I will be getting more of these babies once they're in stock again!

This pen is seriously the best ballpoint pen ever. It writes very, very thin lines, but also nice and dark (not that weird gray-ish color). It never scratches and it flows extremely well. I use it for everything.

I'm really beginning to like these tiny lines, and the Jetstream may be the best sub-micro ballpoint out there. Gels pale in compaire, but this trend is really going somewhere.

I really appreciate how finely tipped this pen is, but it writes too much like a rollerball pen for my liking. I prefer ballpoint pens that use thicker ink.

I love this pen. Would have preferred it in the black body but I could not wait to try it out. Even now after being notified that it was back in stock it is sold out again. Seems like I am not the only one who can't wait to get their hands on one.

Still the grip is the same as the one on the .7 and .5 models. The ink flows incredibly right out of the package. I have no complaints. I occasionally will get a .7 blue that skips and even a .5 black that will sometimes skip but so far this .38 has been a dream to write with.

After using the .7s for a long time I thought I'd try this .38. Mine did not have smooth ink flow straight out of the package like someone else's did, but I had to use it quite a few times to get it to really work. While I appreciate the fine writing, I won't be buying these again. Every once in awhile I feel looseness inside the pen as if somethings not wound tight enough, and I have to take it apart and put it back together to get it to feel firm inside the barrel. Once I do this it writes nicely again, but I don't like the trouble. Going back to the .7 and will eventually try the .5.
