Excellent sharpener....,
October 14, 2011
Excellent sharpener. After my Panasonic Auto-stop sharpener broke down, I was
skeptical that I could find a sharpener that could match its quality. I'm glad I
was proven wrong. I'm an artist who works mainly with colored pencils, mostly
Prismacolor, and a high quality sharpener is EVERYTHING in this medium. I'm glad
that this sharpener sharpens the pencils to a point thats sharp enough to color
with, but not too sharp that it will break. I also like that the sharpener does
not mangle the wood with its jaws and that it does not make too much of a
grinding noise when sharpening. I will be buying this sharpener again if my
current one breaks, which I hope it won't too soon :)
Fellow Artists: This is the best sharpener for all of your pencil needs!

Just received this sharpener and it's great! Very light, mostly plastic except
for the burr blades. No manual but none needed. As mentioned, push the orange
button in for blunt and out for long point. Open the lever on front to push
pencil in, then extent the movable front face to hold long pencils in place for
sharpening.
The long point pencils this sharpener produce are fantastic, better than any
manual hand sharpeners I've used. I don't much care for the blunt points it
makes but I don't have that need either.
Very happy with sharpener. Highly recommend for artists too.

This sharpener produces...,

This sharpener produces very high quality points and has an auto stop feature
that cuts to a minimum that amount of pencil being wasted. The clamping feature
on the KH-20 features three rubber coated jaws that protect the finish that the
manufacturer gave the pencil. The orange clicky button on the crank allow the
user to select either sharp or blunt finishes to the point. Even the sharp
finish creates a very strong point. It's a joy to use a pencil that has been
sharpened by this outstanding device. Thanks JetPens!

A bit messy, but completely worth it; the mechanism is smooth and the resulting
point is marvelous. I can see why the entire shipment JetPens stocked just a few
weeks ago is already almost gone. :)

Most of the sharpeners...,
September 20, 2011
Most of the sharpeners like the Dahle 166 sharpen well but feature teeth that
mangle the finish of the pencil. I was looking for a sharpener that is well
built and would keep my Mitsubishi Uni's looking good. The KH-20 is a superb
sharpener. The push the red button on the crank to toggkle between a sharp or
blunt point. The crank mechanism is sturdy and very smooth with no perciptable
play, the jaws are made of rubber coated grips that work well with round or
hexagonal pencils. The spring that pushes the jaw is much better and stronger
than more expensive sharpeners.
For pencil affectionados I say dont hesitate this the best sharpener hands down.

I owned 8 pencil sharpeners, ranging from manual to electric high-power
sharpeners. Upon receiving the Uni KH-20, the others went straight to garbage
heaven! Good riddance! Thanks JetPens!

A beautiful device: simple, safe and reliable.
I doubt it is even possible to get better sharpening quality from any other
machine, no matter how much more expensive it would be.
