Honestly, i cant think of any gripe i have with this pencil..
It sharpens like a dream and writes smoothly and dark.
The eraser is also very useful and erases surprisingly cleanly.
DEFINITELY RECOMMENDED.

I bought this on a whim, curious what was so special about a $1 pencil (Given that for non-mechanical pencils I wouldn't buy any less than a 10 pack for $1.) This pencil feels and acts great. The eraser is nice and responsive, the pencil feels smooth in the hand, and it sharpens and writes well.

I just threw this into my order to bring it above the $25 threshold, but I actually love it. If you like using a good old-fashioned pencil every once in a while, this is a nice one. It's much nicer quality that your basic Ticonderoga you would find at an office supply store. The burgundy color looks very nice.

I love this pencil so much. It's so beautiful to look at and the lead writes really smoothly. The eraser is high quality too and I'm definitely buying more after I finish the 3 that I purchased. Though it says that this pencil is suitable for writing, I really like drawing with it too :D

The 9850 gives a nice dark line for an HB. You have to press down a little more than with a softer Mitsubishi pencil. The eraser is a convenience not found on many high quality pencils
