This is a fabulous pencil....
This is a fabulous pencil. I have this and the Vermilion, and they are absolutely perfect! I use them to grade papers for my middle school writing classes. They write well and erase really well! They have pretty soft lead, which is the only drawback, because I have to sharpen them a little more often than with other pencils, but really that is such a small drawback, I don't mind. The colors are a perfect shade of blue and red.

This is the gold standard...
This is the gold standard of blue marking pencils, IMO. A totally distinct color. I had used one of these a few years back and had been trying to find them in the US, when I "discovered" JetPens. A true score on both accounts. Restocking this Uni Prussian Blue and finding JetPens. JetPens rocks...!!!!

Purchased this mainly...
Purchased this mainly for the erasable aspect. While it does erase, you need to use a considerable amount of pressure, regardless of how lightly you write / sketch. Even then, it is not perfect and will leave ghosting. That being said, for get using kneaded erasers. You'll have to use some sort of vinyl or rubber.
The lead is soft and will look much grainier than your typical pencil crayon.
The body is thicker than your standard #2, but is very light and writes well.
Overall, a comfortable and smooth pencil with a nice shade of navy blue. Just make sure you're buying it for the right purpose.

Don't know if I just...
Don't know if I just have a faulty pencil but the one I ordered is AWFUL. Any attempts to sharpen the pencil just leads the pencil breaking. It's not the sharpener because the Vermilion sharpens beautifully as does my various other wooden pencils. Such a shame as the color looks so lovely.
