The colour is identical to Prismacolor's Scarlet Red for those who need an exact reference.

Purchased this mainly for the erasable aspect. While it does erase, you need to use a considerable amount of pressure, regardless of how lightly you write / sketch. Even then, it is not perfect and will leave ghosting. That being said, for get using kneaded erasers. You'll have to use some sort of vinyl or rubber.

The lead is soft and will look much grainier than your typical pencil crayon.

The body is thicker than your standard #2, but is very light and writes well.

Overall, a comfortable and smooth pencil. Just make sure you're buying it for the right purpose.

I have this and the Prussian Blue and I love them both! I use them for grading papers for my middle school classes and they are perfect! I love their color and they erase really well. Finding colored pencils that erase well is really difficult, so I am so glad I found these! They are fabulous!

I'm extremely disappointed....

I'm extremely disappointed. The only good thing about this is that the lead is tender but when it's sharp u can have details.
What's wrong about it then ? the lead too. my pencil broke 10 freakin times, i can't sharpen it, i lost half the lenght by trying desperatly to sharpen it to a fine point. I don't know if it's the brand's fault for making a poor product or if jet pens handles pencils poorly and the lead broke in transit but the pencil was in bubble wrap so i don't think it's the problem, i think it was broken every 5 mm before it was sent to me and it's driving me crazy. Also, this is labelled as erasable but it's not.
I don't recommend this, if u want to draw in red, just use a mechanical pencil with a 2mm lead, no need to sharpen it. I'm really mad at this because i really like how the sketch i did turned out but this pencil is not for me.
