DescriptionSpecificationsQuestions & Answers
Uni Posca paint markers use vivid, opaque ink that can write on virtually any surface, including paper, photos, glass, wood, plastic, and metal. The paint ink can be scraped off from nonporous surfaces like glass but adheres permanently to porous surfaces like paper. It shows up well on both light and dark surfaces, and once dry you can write over it with another Posca marker without smearing or showing through. The ink is water-based, non-toxic, lightfast, and waterproof.

To start using the marker, shake it with the cap on so that the ball inside rattles. Then uncap the pen, place the tip on a piece of scratch paper, and press down so that the tip is pushed back into the body of the pen. Press the tip down several times until the ink begins to flow.

This pen has an extra fine tip, which produces a line about 1 mm wide.

One small problem. This has the valve where you press the tip in to get more ink. On mine, it emits a large drop of ink/paint onto the paper - I can't seem to get just the minimum pressure for flow.

Once saturated, it works great.

The best white paint marker I've used! I used it to make 150+ cards and it was going strong the entire time. The tip is very resilient, even after hours of use, so your line remains thin and clean. The felt tip does catch on your paper occasionally and splatter some white ink, but I don't mind as I think it kind of adds to the handmade aesthetic. The ink also dries quickly, which is a major plus.

A very good paint marker. Virtually odorless. It's worth noting that the ink isn't all that opaque, so you might want to layer if that's what you're going for. It also has a tendency to soak right into cardboard surfaces and leave milky marks. It works just fine for my uses, though.

This pen in great for my art journals. Nice and juicy. Writes over Mod Podge and acrylic paint. Nice for zentangle, emphasis dots, eye gleam etc. Wish they came in a smaller nib size, so I use my Signo Uni-ball white pens with a .7mm nib instead. Colors will thin with water when wet--many values are possible.

Love the Posca paint markers. These are the best for my art journaling--they write on top of all kinds of paints and mediums.
