DescriptionSpecificationsFrequently Asked Questions
This pen is worthy of being used either in the military or excursions to Antarctica. The pen writes in extreme conditions including wet surfaces, cool temperatures, and even upside down. Normal pens utilize gravity to create ink flow onto a paper. But the Uni-Ball Power Tank utilizes internal compressed air pressure to push out ink onto the paper. Revolving air inside allows it to continually push ink out until the end. The pen can write in weightless conditions such as in space, on wet paper and subzero environments. The oil based pigment ink is high density and comes out smooth and dark on paper. Pen also features a finely texturize grip composed of 0.16mm slits so that it not only fits comfortably in your hands but is also hard to slip away. Such a high-technology grip is only to be expected to match the high performance of this pen. Five body colors and red and blue ink refills are available.

Not my go to pen after I tried the Jetstream, but the build and ink quality is top notch. My favorite part by far is the aesthetic look and feel of the grip. This a pen I could stare at for hours on end, and never be tired of. Can't say the same for the ink though. The grip also suits this pen well; very comfy and perfect

Nice sized grip; quite comfortable. Even ink flow. The pressurized cartridge is very important to me. I took off 1star for two reasons: My personal preference is for a little more heft and thickness in a pen barrel, and on garden variety tablet paper there is an occasional tiny "glop".

I love this pen, but sometimes I dont like that stylish slot. But I do like instant writing, no skips, and these pressurized pens are great for that. I use te 0.5mm and 0.7mm. If I ever have to go to jail, I WILL miss this pen.

Pros: Writes in the rain and wet snow, writes in the cold, (pen temp of -20C), dries very fast, (no smearing), writes upside down, (pressurized), no skipping, more rugged than it appears, comfortable grip. A near perfect "working" pen.

Cons: Doesn't write on some pages of a multiform, (aka carbon copies), nor waxed paper, (I need to have a cheap 'hotel' pen on hand for those cases). Although non-skipping, the ink put down is not absolutely perfectly uniform as you would want in Calligraphy and fine prose.

Why I choose this pen above the JetStream: It writes on wet, (rite-in-rain), paper and notebooks. I have seen other reviewers who prefer the Jetstream pen(s) for reasons that are valid but in my opinion minor compared with this pen. I write a lot in the field, including, rain and snow and office. So far after having gone through, (wrote till the barrels were dry), several pens and/or refills, I can confidently say that this is the best all around pen available. I have purchased 33 pens with 20 refills, used about 10 of them with 10 refills, (also gave away 20 pens and some refills). I was surprised that the clips and barrel have not broke under normal use, (I would have preferred a metal clip but so far not one clip has broke). Only had one where the ball tip got wrecked by writing on metal, (don't try that :). A couple pens I managed to use through two cartridges before losing, (I loan them out, the pen gets passed around and they don't come back). On the pens that I have given away, people love them and never loan them out for fear of losing them, (I just buy more - they are inexpensive enough).
