Wrote acceptably but the barrel fractured, rendering it dangerous to use. Very disappointing! I had high hopes for this pen. Save your money by buying the regular kind, or get a proper Fisher Space Pen.

I found the ink to be acceptable. I used this as my dedicated car-pen; in good temperatures it writes like a good ballpoint, and in sub-zero Canadian winters it writes like a thick, below-average ballpoint: that it still writes is impressive enough for me!

Unfortunately, the top of the barrel fractured, and while the pen is still intact, clicking the pen down or up you risk having the top pop off. I have stopped using it for fear of losing it forever.

Total usage: a few hundred lines in my car, and a *single day* of pocket carry, prematurely aborted because I noticed the barrel had already snapped.

These pens create smooth bold lines with no stuttering or skips. A good buy.

Best lefty pen I have tried to date, and I am always on the lookout for lefty-friendly pens. I prefer 0.5mm but this is still the best pen for lefties and people who need to write at awkward angles. As a doctor this is a great residents pen, quick dry smear free ink and great for writing on the go, on makeshift surfaces for signing consent etc.

Not favorite tip and doesn't flow as expected. However, the gravity aspect may redeem itself over time.

Perfect for my purpose. I generally prefer a thicker, grippier, heavier pen barrel. But I needed pens to fit elastic pen holders attached to folios. This one slides in and out well. For me, the pressurized cartridge is also important.

Writes very smooth and consistent ink flow. Line thickness is more like a 0.5mm than a 0.7mm.

Not impressed - I may have a bad pen because I have yet to experience the 'smooth' quality that others have described. The ink is not that dark and does not flow like some of the Zebra Surari pens.

Although not fancy, this pen must be the best ballpoint available. A very smooth line is produced, and the long-lasting cartridge is easily replaced by unscrewing the clip & button end of the pen. Barrel colors are nice, too. I own three and I have been very pleased with this Uni-ball product.

This is the same review that I wrote for the silver version.

The refill is excellent. The grip area is very slippery. Imagine the most slippery pen you have (for me it's a stainless Parker Jotter), and I guarantee this grip is 10 times worse. It's also somewhat fat, which compounds the problem.

I scuffed the grip with 50 grit sandpaper, I cut grooves in it, I sprayed Plasti-Dip on it. The final solution was to sand it down and put a Pilot G2 grip on it. It's not pretty now, but it's actually usable.

I went to all that work because the rest of the pen is so good. I consider this pen mostly useless without modification. I can't believe this pen made it to production--nobody at the company could have possibly thought the grip was acceptable.
