I'm a huge stationary nerd, so as soon as I saw these highlighters on JetPens, I had to have them. The hook was their nifty window so you don't over-highlight. I'm a chronic over-highlighter-- As in, I'll go well into the next sentence if I don't think about it and stop myself-- so these seemed *amazing*. Honestly, though, the windows aren't the best feature.

The Propus Highlighters are double-sided. That means that one side is a regular (windowed) highlighter and the other side is a thin marker tip that uses the same highlighter ink. "What would I need that for," you ask? Don't worry: I thought the same thing. When I started using the Propus, though, I realized it was changing the way I read textbooks. Now, I make a thick highlight over the key point, word, or phrase with the regular highlighter side. When I get to important sub-details, I use the thin point to underline, box in, draw arrows, star, and even write notes. With this new highlighting technique, I feel much more productive and understand what I'm reading better. These highlighters are a must for students!

I really like these highlighte...

I really like these highlighters. The window isn't as great as I had hoped, but it's good. You have to use the highlighter at quite an angle for it to actually be worthwhile, but if I have something to highlight that needs to be done very carefully, they're great.

The thing I like most about them is the ink color. All of the pens have bright inks, and all of the colors allow the text below to be easily visible. I haven't tried to photocopy them, but they appear to be light enough that the text will show through on a copy. I've never really had luck using blue and green highlighters because they're always too dark to allow the text to be easily visible.

The other thing I like is the scent (or lack thereof). I can't smell the highlighters when I'm using them, but I think I smelled something when I brought the pen to my nose (it's very mild or it's just my imagination, I'm not sure which).

My host dad bought me a set of these in 1997 when I went to go on a homestay in Japan, and these highlighters have worked (with light use) up until literally a couple of years ago. I decided to replace them along with some other pens. The little window is total genius, at least if you are the type who is extremely neat and gets annoyed when you highlight too long because you misjudged where the end of the phrase/word/sentence whatever it was you wanted to highlight ended. The little window helps you stop precisely since you can see the upcoming words through it.

LOVE these highlighters, they aren't to dark and not to light. Though I do wish the ink didn't flow out as much once you finish highlighting, it still doesn't bleed through thin paper so I'll give in the credit! If you a school supply freak like me you will LOVE these.

I bought these highlighters with the thought that I wouldn't use them much, and boy was I wrong. Ended up being my saving grace in my Spanish and English classes. They have bright colors, and the size difference of the lines on the different sides has never been more useful. My friends loved to use them too- I'll definitely be buying another pack once these run out.

I love these highlighters. So far I have used them for two years in my undergrad courses and they are still going strong. I have noticed that my yellow has finally picked up a bit of ink from pens, but not enough to change the color of the highlighter or prevent me from using it. The window is a nice feature, which may or may not be useful depending on the angle of which you highlight. The double tip is absolutely perfect, you can change between underlining and shading very well.
These do not bleed through thin paper. They also show up really nicely against engineering paper (green and brown). Another thing I like about these highlighters is how thin they are. Typically highlighters can be bulky , these however fit very nicely in my pencil case without taking up a bunch of space.

These are my favorite highlighters ever! The "window" really does make a difference when you are highlighting without going over the word or whatever you are highlighting. I've used them so much in my studies that I need to get more. Definitely worth the buy.

I love these highlighters!!! They are smaller than they look (length) , but are still a very nice size (light weight too). At first I was deciding on if I wanted to order these or not because I didn't quite know what the pen tip would be used for, but after doing a little research I saw that that tip is great for underlining, circling, boxing, etc. I really recommend these.
