I would pay up to 50$ for this design if it was constructed entirely of metal. This pencil is everything I need on my job as a fine carpenter including the .4 size and beautifully knurled grip so necessary to exact marking in my line of work. I have not yet broken the plastic upper casing but do worry about my tool belt crunching it at some point. That said I dont think it will suffer any ill effects outside of my world!

This pencil looks solid, with upper tubing made of plastic and the lower part nice, solid metal. However, the twist-lock mechanism inside is made of plastic parts that snapped and broke after 3 months of daily use.

Amazing pencils with superior weight and balance. Perfect for artists and engineers, but not recommended for heavy note-taking as the tip tends to unscrew.

I love the design and the functional aspects of the pencil are amazing. However, if Jetpens.com has taught us anything it is people are willing to spend REAL MONEY on well made, ultra high quality pens, pencils, paper, ect... I would gladly pay 50-75 USD$ for this if the entire thing were metal including the internal components. Regardless at around 10-15 bucks it isn't a bad buy, even though it uses plastic in the build. Oh yeah, it also writes pretty well too....function over form so long as form meets the standards.
