I am a big fan of high quality stationeries. I have used many pens, gel ink pens
of different brands.
I like the 0.5mm Uni signo 207 and I used 0.38 and 0.28 uni gel ink pens before,
so I guess this 0.38 would be good. However, when writing on the paper, it kinda
of scratching paper and not smoothly written as the 0.5mm.
In my personal experience,I recommend you buy the 0.5mm, not 0.38.

Uni Signo 207 Retractable Gel Ink Pen - 0.5 mm - Black Body - Black Ink
I got a 12 pack of these pens with 9 black and 3 blue this summer (not through
JetPens). When I took them out of the packaging, they wrote horribly-I couldn't
keep a steady ink flow and several times in one sentence I would have to
scribble on a scrap of paper to get it writing again, so I stuck them in a
drawer. Just recently I pulled one back out to try it again and it wrote
wonderfully. It is very smooth and the ink is very dark, and I have had
virtually no trouble with the ink flow. The only bad thing I can say now is
that the ink gets used up fast, but that is because I have been using it for
everything for about a week and a half and there is a noticeable difference of
about an inch in the ink level between the one I have been using and a new one.
I don't know what caused them to not work originally but now they are amazing
and I would recommend them.

Uni Signo 207 Retractable Gel Ink Pen - 0.38 mm - Light Blue Body - Light Blue Ink
See my other review on the orange 207 for my quality of colored ink pens rant,
and this far exceeded my expectations. It writes smoothly and a nice well
defined line. The blue is darker than I thought it would be. It's not quite like
the blue out of a normal pen, but it's also darker than baby blue... It also is
the tiniest bit purple. I enjoy the color because it fits into every day work
easily, and doesn't scream "LOOK AT ME" too much. Worth the 5 star review, but
maybe not a 110% awesome pen because the color doesn't match the barrel.

Uni Signo 207 Retractable Gel Ink Pen - 0.38 mm - Orange Body - Orange Ink
I love the color, it writes really dark orange, definitely a plus for me. I've
had pens that write "orange" and they really just sort of make a pale dirty
looking yellow color, or you end up digging a cavern into your paper trying to
get them to write. This pen is like a god compared to them. As expected from a
uniball ink pen, it writes smoothly and a nice thick dark line. The orange is
like the color of a new basketball, quite dark, but definitely orange. And it
has a sleek design. Wonderful pen.

Uni Signo 207 Retractable Gel Ink Pen - 0.38 mm - Pink Body - Pink Ink
Ink quality:
Wonderful.
Smooth
Crisp
Clear (I mean well-defined, not as in see-through or opaque...well, I'll get to
that.)
Hot Pink (nice color, definitely not a bad color)
...I don't like the color that much. It's too pale for me. It's too bright and
too pale to really use for writing. I would not even use this for drawing arrows
or in a diagram. I think all I'll use this for is underlining and maybe drawing
something pink quick in my science notes (not the whole drawing, just what needs
to be in pink...)...
I hate to rate it badly, but I just can't recommend it as a WRITING UTENSIL. For
every other expectation you have of a PEN, it's a great PEN, but not great for
WRITING... So if you need to underline in pink, this is the best underliner
ever, smooth lines and all.
