This is the best multi...

This is the best multi pen I have picked up in ages. It has put all of my coletos to shame. I bought this one because I felt the coletos looked clunky and a little cheesy. The Meister looked like a classier upgrade, and I have had very good experiences with signo Dx ink in the past, so I gave it a try. For optimal smoothness I recommend the 0.5mm ink refills. They write like a dream, and in my opinion are much smoother than the hi-tec-c coleto inks. No skipping or bleeding or running the pen to get the ink to start. Not the same experience I have had with coletos. On to the pen. The pen is all metal and smooth. It's a little thinner than what I'm used to, but that's fine. I had read a lot of negative feedback about the window for inks and people complaining about how it takes away from the look of the pen and is not functional or useful. NOT SO. The window is very useful. The clip of the Meister pen points at the ink cartridge that is currently in use and will line up perfectly with it. The clip is not just a clip but an INDICATOR of Ink choice. So to the naysayers, I hope that you can use the window properly now. Overall I love the Meister, and will definitely pick up another one or two. Probably the gunmetal gray and mint green.

This lightweight pen...

This lightweight pen is an attractive and welcome change from plastic multis at a great price point. As other reviewers have noted it is slippery so I use a clear pencil grip which doesn't detract, in my opinion, from its appearance. The best part of this pen is the quality of the refills. Changing colors and retracting the pen tip is easy via a tiny.

It's a worthwhile upgrade,...
It's a worthwhile upgrade, but it's slippery. It's slimmer than the comparable 3-refill bodies, it looks classy, and--it doesn't rattle! It is designed to always have a pen deployed, but you can stop at an in-between point for carry.

The pen can be hard to write with, because the shiny body is accordingly slick, and the pen is somewhat top-heavy. I still prefer it over its Coleto counterpart, though I wish Uni offered stylus and eraser refills.

I'm sorry this brand...
I'm sorry this brand of ink/pen refills is very difficult to write with. The only way that the ink comes out smoothly on .28 and .38 sizes (only ones I have tried) is if you write with you pen straight up and down. If you don't write with your pen absolutely perpendicular to the paper, then the tip scrapes weirdly against the paper (you feel the edge that holds the rolling ball scraping) and the ink does not come out evenly, you keep getting areas where the line goes blank or goes light and it looks horrible.

I purchased Hi-tec-C Coleto at the same time to test them -- and those are AMAZING. no matter what direction you write in, I bought .3 and .4 size tips and both are amazing. For larger amounts of writing, the .4 is best because otherwise the .3 is quite thin. The .3 is ideal for taking notes in margins and having super neat handwriting which is very clear and awesome!!!!
