Needs a clip; otherwise, I love it! VERY little skipping, and writing is smooth!

When this pen worked well it was a delight: a fine, dark, smooth line and a lovely rich dark brown. But it had a tendency to go faint and scratchy, and would need to be coaxed into writing fluidly again; but I didn't mind that so much.
However after using this pen for a week it broke, I think the tiny ballpoint came off, leaving a very skinny, very scratchy metal rod protruding from where the nib should be. Still has loads of ink but is unusable. If that hadn't happened I'd have given it a 4/5.
