I have the blue barrel..., February 20, 2011
I have the blue barrel pencil (not the silver one) and I am VERY happy with it.
^^
Pros:
-Lower ring of grip for people who grip the pencil at the base. (it's super low
though so i don't use it)
-It's the exact same height as the shaka series
- Feels/looks more expensive than the shaka series (full metal body and metal
tip/head, whereas the shaka series is just a metal-looking/chrome plastic)
- While the grip isn't as squishy as the shaka series, it uses the same type of
material. In the non-HD series, the grip has a weird plastic coating that tends
to rip easily. (The HD has a much better grip than the regular version.)
- The eraser is bigger on this pencil than on the shaka series pencils. However,
i don't use the erasers anyways (looks better) sooo i could really care less
about this.
Cons:
-The grip is not as squishy as the shaka shaker series pencil (I have the green
shaka version)
-The clip definitely doesn't look as good as the shaka series ones.
-Not a shaky pencil -___- (big downer)
- If there's a long lecture, i tend to choose the shaka series pencil b/c it's
easier to shake the lead out at a moment's notice in order to keep writing notes
at a fast pace. However, I choose this pencil if i'm just jotting down little
things here and there.

Uni-ball Alpha Gel HD..., October 15, 2009
Uni-ball Alpha Gel HD Pencil - 0.5 mm
Good:
- Gel grip provides comfort in extensive or very fast writing.
- Grip near the end of the pencil provides hold for those who like to write down
low.
- Good weight, better balance than the Original series.
Bad:
- Although it has a clip unlike the Original series, this clip becomes very
loose and people who move around a lot will often find the pen slipping in their
pockets.
- The gel has a higher chance of being ripped than the Original.
Overall, this pencil is recommended for everyday writers.

The uniball alpha gel..., June 5, 2009
The uniball alpha gel HD is okok good, but i recommend the shaka shaker pencil
because you can shake it, and the grip is squishier (the HD one is a bit firmer)
anyways, great... but remember to not grip it too hard... or... it will RIP!
Trust me
