Uni-ball Alpha Gel Shaka Shaker Pencil - 0.5 mm

Good:
- Perfect balance in weight.
- Gel provides comfort in people who tend to write fast or extensively.
- Revised clip, better than the HD series one.
- Shaker is okay.

Bad:
- Grip rips very easily, good care is recommended to avoid this.
- The shaking mechanism sometimes jams.
- No lower grip for writers who grip the pencil low.

Great pencil! Same amazing squishyness as the originals, now with the shaker feature. The one reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because of the weight, which is significantly higher than the regular alpha gels. The tip and body are sort of plasticy. Not a major issue, but I just liked the heavier version more. Of course maybe you want a lighter alpha gel! Anyway, still awesome, and the colors are fantastic.

this is just an overall awesome pencil. very durable and cool with an amazing grip. I love this pencil. Mine recently got stolen off my stuff but it lasted me over a year and it was in great shape and no grip ripping.that is why i just ordered another one

I love this pencil :) The blue grip is soooo squishy and addictive to keep squeezing, especially in class!

This pencil is so cool. The grip is perfect because it is soft but keeps you hand in place. It is made of selector gel which is known for preventing and egg from braking when dropped from a height of 5 feet. The shaking Parton the pencil is not very loud so it does not bother many people. Overall you need to buy this pencil.

This pencil is the best. I got it because hoping it would have a soft grip, and a didn't get that. I got a SUPER soft grip. Best pencil I've ever used!

First time you heard of this pencil? Well, two words: GET IT!
The grip is a very very very soft and squishy gel. It is liquidy and soft and comfy. It is exactly like jello except you can't eat it and it doesn't smell like anything. It is the same gel famous from keeping an egg from breaking even if it is dropped from a high distance. But, It is fragile and rips easily. Overall, reasonable price and good pencil...

Holy crap! This pencil is amazing! The grip is absoultely amazing, and I don't know what people are talking about when they say it rips because i have had it for a year and it is fine. The shaker is a spring and it is one of the best shakers on the market. I like the feel of it and how you can put it into lock mode when you aren't using it. Btw if you don't know how to see what is inside of the pencil, you just unscrew the clear blue part where the cap and eraser are. Thank you uni-ball and jetpens for this amazing product!

This is by far the best pencil i have ever had the pleasure of using.

Pros:
-Super Soft and squishy grip
-Amazing Colour
-Lock feature is incredibly useful

Cons
-People will try to steal these pencils if they can, beware.
-the grip collects dust and lint , though it is easily cleaned off by wiping it on a shirt or something.

in total, one of the best purchases i have ever made, keep it out of the hands of people with "Sticky fingers" and you will be the happiest writers of all time.
P.S. using this pencil with 4B lead will be one of the best decisions you can make. I'm an artist myself and use 4B for shading and such, but in school i also use it for writing because it is just so smooth.

Overall, this is a very good pencil. I used this for a whole school year and I really liked it. I gave it 4 stars because the grip spins over time on the pencil and the lines on the grip do not line up to the lines on the barrel sometimes. I found myself spinning it back a lot. Also, the grip ripped on the inside, giving the grip a random jagged white line. Other than these things, I highly recommend this pencil to anyone.

I absolutely love it. Its so comfortable to not have to stop writing just to press the button for more lead. I just have to shake the pencil. The color is wonderful because I just love that shade of blue. Also the grip is so squishy, when Im really bored in class or something, its really fun to press it. When I write with it, it writes so smoothly. I favor this mechanical pencil alot, and I wouldnt let anyone but myself use it. ((:

This pencil is a great pencil for people who like squishy things and shacky things. As to my opinion, I think this pencil is the best pencil I have ever used in my entire life. However, there are a couple flaws with this pencil. The eraser that comes with it is TINY!!!!! It is not very useful, and once it runs out, it hard to put the lead in the pencil because you have to take out the eraser. Finally, the grip kind of rips a little easily, but it is a good thing I have five other ones! Overall, I would recommend this pencil to everyone.

This is amazing. After having it for a couple months I've had many people try to buy it off of me. The grip is amazing, and the pencil never malfunctions. Two of my friends actually bought one after they saw mine. It is the best.

Although it kinda heavy and get tired if writing for a long time, but the blue part is soo soft that you won't feel pain like other pencils.

The color blue is very nice, i bought each different color for my classmates, they all love them because they said it is soft and they don't have to move the fingers to press for lead.

I'm buying another one for myself. Uni-ball is great

this pencil is very cool! i love how squishy it is and how comfortable it is! i had mine stolen last week so i had to order another one, keep a good eye on it, it's very popular. so glad i bought it again before it was sold out :D i recommend you buy it NOWWW. or when its back in stock :)

This is a good pencil. I think your friends call them oxygels because the greek alpha on the side looks kind of like ox and ox gel sounds awkward so they call it oxygels

This is the best pencil ever. LIKE EVER. My friend gave me one and it lasted for 3 years, and I was using it every day every class of the school week. It probably would have lasted longer but MY FRIEND BROKE IT BY STABBING IT INTO HIS NOTEBOOK. A bunch of paper and lead got stuck in the tip. :( I nearly cried. I desperately tried to get all that stuff out of the tip for about 2 hours, but it didn't work. In the end i just cut off the bit at the end of the tip, which made the pencil practically useless because the lead would fall out. If any one can find somewhere where I can get replacement tips for this BEAUTIFUL, LOVELY, USEFUL, AND PRETTY MUCH BEYOND AWESOME pencil I would be happy to know becaues I love mine and I don't really want to buy a new one.
