I love the alpha gel grip writing utensils, and this is no exception. While it
is a bit expensive for a ballpoint, it is very comfortable to write with. The
different refills available make it fun to switch between broader and finer tips
on a whim.

I really like this pen. The grip is reallly soft and makes writing comfortable.
It writes really well no skips. Its one of the pens I have on hand when i'm at
work. Solid ball point pen.

Uni-ball Alpha Gel Shaka Ballpoint Pen - 0.7 mm - Royal Blue Grip
One less star than the Alpha Gel because the Alpha Gel fits in my hand better,
and the Alpha Gel has a shorter tip and gel that goes farther to the tip which
lets me hold the pen closer to the end. That said, this is really a NICE pen.
the gel on this blue Shaka is "squishier" than any of the other Gel pens I have
tried, including the Alpha Gel. But the difference is slight. If you also hold
pens closer to the tip like I do, this pen still provides "soft squish" for your
thumb which feels nice. oh and the shaker feature (shake to get lead forward)
can be on or off depending on if you have the top clicked or not.

The rubber grip is amazing, the design is sleek, I would give this not exactly
5/5 stars, but probably more like a 4.3/5.0, and this has to do with the design
of the pen: The spring is at the top of the pen, not toward the bottom, so it
seems to have a very subtle instability when you begin to write (has a "wiggly"
kind of feeling, and you can hear it too). Most pens like the Dr. Grip and the
Zebra are designed with the spring at the bottom, which confers a lot more
stability (e.g. very "solid" feel). The higher the spring, the more "wiggle"
room. The ink writes very smoothly, though.

Uni-ball Alpha Gel Shaka Ballpoint Pen - 0.7 mm - Lime Green Grip
Love all of the Uni-ball Alpha Gel pens and pencils. Please... never stop
carrying these! Everyone I know loves them and wants them, and I swear people
try to steal mine all the time - but I make SURE these are returned. Can't use
any other gel gripes after trying this one - ask anyone. To those of you who
don't have one... You got to get one! And to those who don't have their own but
borrow others... GET YOUR OWN!!

Uni-ball Alpha Gel Shaka Ballpoint Pen - 0.7 mm - White Grip
I was rather disappointed in this pen. For nine dollars it is very cheaply made.
I assumed since it was an alpha gel pen that it would have a metal casing. It
does not. This particular line has a plastic casing. It really should be on the
pen description so people are aware of what they are buying. I suppose I should
have asked, but it's too late now. If you are going to buy a pen, buy the HD for
the same price (and better quality) or buy the original for seven bucks.
