The pencil is so soft and squishy that it's irresistible. It truly was love at first sight. The pencil has a real cool feeling and is worth it. The pencil is very pretty. I recommend people to buy it.

This pencil is awesome. I got the .3 lead and thought that it would be bad, but it's perfect! tThe grip is nice, it has the best clip in the whole A-gel series, and amazing color. When I brought it to class, over the next 3 months, 9 other kids bought it!!

There's uni-ball AIN lead in Japantown (well... at least where I live there is) available for all lead sizes (0.3, 0.4, 0.5, 0.7, 0.9, and some others). That's not really an excuse because, like I said above, 0.3 lead is also available here at Jetpens.

Anyways... back to reviewing! I got this one because the chance of the barrel scratching is lower than that of the silver barrel of the same series (with royal blue grip). My friend had that one and it scratched easily. This pencil is great for my writing (which is small and slightly compact). This is good if you have slim hands but it is also good for "fat" hands. The only problem is that 0.3 lead is fragile and can break easily ___
But that's not the pencil's fault now is it?

This is AWESOME! Lead is fairly easy to get. Although the grip is not as good as the other unslim ones.

this pencil is a very nice pencil to write with. the grip is firmer than the other squishy alpha gels, but the firmer grip is easier to write with. it looks beautiful and is over all a great pencil. I recommend this pencil to people who like good grips, and are in love with the alpha series

Very reliable pencil and really comfortable for me. The grip is really soft and the Slim line of Alpha Gels suit my smaller hand just right. I've been using one of these for almost 2 years now. The only reason I switched is because I fell in love with the Kuru Toga Mechanism in the other uni-ball pencils. The color accents are nice and the eraser cap stays firmly at the top. I'd invest in a separate block eraser as the erasers in these pencils tend to be very small.

love the grip. although it is not as squishy as the other uni alpha gel pencils, it is comfortable to hold and not too bulky. the purple barrel is smooth and will not chip off. very wonderful pencil, but a little pricey. completely worth the cost in my opinion

Is the lead pencil shake able responde

This pencil is great! Just got it today and the grip is soooooooooo squishy! I would recommend this to a student and I give this 5 stars.(Also I am a student)

This is a beautiful pencil. It doesn't look or feel cheap. The gently sloped body of this pencil has a gorgeous, metallic turquoise color. The milky grip is, of course, a pleasure. All in all, it's a great pencil at a great price.

However, if you have large hands, I would stay away from this pencil. Because of the squishiness of the grip, the pencil is actually slimmer in your hand than it appears. My hands are quite large, and I've found that the Uni-ball Alpha Gel Slim is too small for me. The fatter version is probably just right for the size of my hands.

this pencil is very slim and comfortable to hold, design and colours are pretty, weight is perfect, but i was a bit disapointed with the squishyness of the grip. it was much firmer than i expected, although it was still squishier than all other grips. (maybe i had too high expectations...) overall good pencil, reccomended.

Very sexy looking pencil! The green tip on the top and the grip in green look so good and it caught so many people's attention in my school. The pencil is very shiny and the slim size makes it feel like you are with a sharpened wooden pencil with a soft grip.

Only bad part about it is that the easer is way too small that you could only erase 2-5 lines of words. Also you have to take very good care of this because it seems a bit delicate. Try not to drop it on hard floor or sit on it.

I LOVE this pencil! The thickness of the grip is great for me, and I definitely love how I write with it.
Two things I don't like about this is that in the middle of the pencil is a silver thing and the paint is starting to chip off slowly. Another thing is that when I write a lot, the pencil cap tends to get loose, which I have to often check to make sure the cap is screwed tightly. I'm not sure if that happens to other people though. It's also great for writing math equations too!

I draw comics for a living, and this pencil is one of my absolute FAVORITES!

***HIGHLY RECOMMENDED FOR PEOPLE WITH ART CALLOUSES!!***

I normally would use a Pentel GraphGear 1000 .3 mechanical pencil, which is a nice, heavy pencil, but rough on art callouses... The Alpha Gel is a very light pencil, in contrast, which took some getting used to... but the COMFORT makes this pen WORTH getting used to! The pain in my art callous was virtually ELIMINATED, and now I almost cannot work without this pencil.

Will be ordering MORE, just to have back-ups!

This pencil is wonderful. The grip is extremely comfortable and it writes very smoothly. I kind of don't like the tiny eraser but that's ok, I bought a seed slendy eraser with this order which will compensate. The purple color is really pretty too.

This Pencils is AMAZING.I have small hands, and this fits them perfectly It's not a shakey but still it works very well. Also the colors available are very nice. I recommend this product 100%!

Uni ball is my favorite pencil making company by far. They put incredible work into their pencils to have the most comfort while writing. The Slim pencil is no exception and maybe one of the best pencil from uni-ball.
First of all the grip to the pencil is very nice having a good squish but not being to squishy as i found the hd pencils to be. The clip is really nice and i don't think it will ever break.
If you are worried about .3 lead it matters really on how you write. If you are a hard writer don't get this pencil since the lead will just break on you. If you are a soft writer a suggest ordering many packets of .3 lead, since you probably wont be able to get .3 lead anywhere else.

I bought one of these last year and just lost it yesterday. I reordered two the same day because I can't go back to writing with any old pencil - mechanical or otherwise. It writes so smoothly with the Pentel leads and fits comfortably with my narrow fingers. Only downside is it's a little overpriced.

Very nice pencil. The gel is indeed less squishy than others in the line, but it's not really a bad thing. If anything, I prefer the grip on this one than any other of the alpha gels I have (Uni KT and the Jetstream). Obviously, with such a slim pencil it only makes sense that the grip is thinner too.
