Uni-ball Color Mechanical Pencil - 0.5 mm - Rose Pink Body - Rose Pink Lead
I use colored pencils to render artworks, and the idea of having a pencil that
a) is always sharp, b) vibrant and easy to see, and c) easily erased was really
appealing. At first I was unsure about making the purchase because it seemed
like a lot of people were talking about how breakable and useless the lead is,
but at $1.65, I figured it was worth the risk. Well, I just got it in the mail
today and immediately tested it out. It is awesome, and I just couldn't stop at
the thumbnail. I went to do a complete drawing with nothing but this pink
pencil. It's so smooth and blends incredibly well. I was also impressed with
it's spectrum in value. It can achieve dark darks and light lights, and I mean,
it's pink. That's a plus in itself. Also, I had no problem with sensitive lead.
I'm pretty heavy handed when I draw, and it wasn't an issue at all. I'll
probably go on to buy more if not all of the colors. :)

Uni-ball Color Mechanical Pencil - 0.5 mm - Soft Blue Body - Soft Blue Lead
This pencil is amazing for it's price. I thought the blue led was a little too
soft, but I bought this pencil to write in normal led, so I didn't try the blue
led for a long time. As a regular writing utensil it is awesome. It holds the
led steady and writes well. I'd very much recommend this pencil, especially for
it's cheap price :)

It's a well-made pencil. I like the grip on the Pilot pencils a bit better
though. The red color for the Uni-ball pencils is darker and redder than the
corresponding red in the Pilot line.

Uni-ball Color Mechanical Pencil - 0.5 mm - Red Body - Red Lead
I have three of these (RGB), and they are useable. My experience with the 0.7mm
version of these pencils has been poor. I bought two 0.7mm models, and both had
a tendency to splinter the lead inside the collet, so that after a few advances,
the lead would break internally. However, this 0.5mm model seems to have less of
this problem (but it does have the problem a bit). This is counter-intuitive
since the 0.5mm lead is thinner and so more fragile than 0.7mm, but that's the
way it is with the copies that I purchased.
One good thing about these is that they are extremely inexpensive. I have
improved my luck with these by avoiding to retract the lead to put the pencil
away, and also I pull back the metal tip a bit to expose more lead before
clicking to reduce the number of times the mechanism scrapes the lead inside.I
have managed to avoid breaking lead internally for a while now.
Thus, these 0.5mm versions are workable for me. But the 0.7mm I just couldn't
use with colored lead without the lead breaking inside.

they had these here in the US and i bought them a few years ago. it's really
fun, writing in different colored leads, it keeps notes organized. the lead
writes really smooth as well, so it's really great. all i need to do now is go
buy more lead!

This mechanical pencil is so much prettier in person than it is in the pictures.
The grip is very comfortable, and the pencil writes and draws with ease. The
lead is soft and the lead colour is also very pretty and easy on the eyes. I
thought it would've been too light of a blue colour, but this shade of blue is
perfect. I never have to squint to see my sketches! I also have no problems with
erasing either, it's very erasable!

I love this pencil. I bought this colour and pink and the softness of the lead
worked perfectly for layout drawing. When I ran out of the blue, I put standard
soft lead into the pencil, and write with it in every class I'm in. The only
thing that needs improvement is the eraser. It's not nearly big enough and has
an odd consistancy.

love the color! yes, lead is soft, but writes beautifully. question, does anyone
have the orange or green lead in this brand? i bought the violet, green, and
orange from this site but another brand...the violet writes as well as this
brand's light blue and pink. The green and orange in the other brand is AWFUL,
very scratchy and very light, even when pressing VERY hard. Was thinking of
buying this brand's orange and green to fit in some pencils i already own, but
as I have one strike already...

This pencil is simply stunning. The design makes it easy to hold in one's hand,
and the grip is soft enough to be comfortable but not at all squishy. The lead
is a wonderful shade and feels a lot closer to graphite than the Pentel
Hi-Polymer colored leads that one can buy in the store and also erases a lot
better as well.
The color of the lead is a little light for actual writing for homework and
such, but it's great for sketches. It's about the same color on paper as the
pencil itself.
Only 2 pieces of lead come with the pencil, so I would even recommend buying an
additional pack.

This pencil is pretty nice. The lead is different from standard graphite, so if
you want to erase the lead off of the paper you need to write or draw lightly to
erase it completely. Even if you write darkly (like I do), the pencil erases
pretty well, but leaves a faint hint of the lead. It's a dun pencil to draw
with.

These are so fun! I bought the American version years ago and loved them but
they disappeared from the market place. So excited to find the Japanese version!
Now I don't have to rely on colored pencils that need sharpening.

I bought one of these - and now wish I'd bought lead in several colors! The blue
is really pretty - but I would definitely buy a refill pack of lead before
purchasing another pencil. I think this pencil came with 2 pieces of lead - and
each of the pieces is maybe 1 or 1 1/2" long, which doesn't last!
Shipping-wise, JetPens rules! I just ordered day before yesterday and my order
came in today's mail. Yay!

I got this as part of a pink pen pack and it's GREAT! the eraser worked so well
with the colored lead! If only I didn't have to take the cap off everytimee I
need to use it :(. It's also really good at keeping the lead from breaking,
making it a really trusty, attractive pencil.
