Uni-ball Fanthom Erasable Gel Ink Pen - Refill - 0.5 mm - Red

Not gonna lie....I like the Pilot FriXion pens better than these Uni-ball Fanthoms. Just received them in the mail today and started using them. Maybe they'll grow on me but my initial feeling is, if you're going to buy erasable pens, go with Pilot.

While I think the Uni-ball Fanthom pens are aesthically superior to the Pilot FriXion pens, the Pilots are far better in terms of writing and erasing quality. The Fanthoms look a little more "grown-up" and professional to use in the office as opposed to high school or college. But they write very faint and skip a little. The effort to erase is greater and still doesn't seem to completely erase whatever was written. On the other hand, the Pilot FriXions write incredibly smooth and erasing takes little to no effort at all.

I quite like the design of the pen. Although it does take a bit of strength to pull the cap off, the mechanism itself I find it quite improved from the Pilot FriXion. The pen does not have any grip due to the cap design.

Very pretty emerald green ink just like the barrel. Writes very smooth with no leaks or skips. Erases perfectly and the top of the cap is the eraser so you don't have to move it to erase once you're writing. Love these pens.

Uni-ball ink sucks!... I ordered the Uni-ball erasable pens to compare them with the Frixion. I was really tired of how the Frixion pens ran out of ink so fast, and I will say these Fanthom pens do have more ink. The down side is the Fathom ink is much lighter than the Frixion ink. Go with the Frixion
