I also have this pen in blue and black, and they definitely do not disappoint. The ink is a nice red for corrections and margin notes. As long is it's writing over a few sheets of (cheap) paper, it's smooth. A little scratchy given the fine point, but that's alright with me because I definitely love the finer lines, solid inkflow, and comfortable grip. It's a lot more eco-friendly than disposable ballpoints since it has refills too. :D I highly recommend this pen to anyone!

I bought this size (0.5mm) because that's the size lead I use for my mechanical pencils. Big mistake. It's extremely sharp and scratchy and while lead can be smooth to counter this, a ballpoint tip cannot. Other than that, it's a nice pen. The grip is comfortable. I think the barrel is a little too thin for my tastes (barely). The ink flow is good and the retraction mechanism and button activation act as expected.

Overall impression: Okay, for better comfort but less precise pen I recommend Pilot G-Knock Retractable Gel Ink Pen - 0.38 mm
