The sophisticated dark ink colors in Uni-ball's Jetstream RT BLX pens are subtle but catch attention for their uniqueness. These intriguing inks are created by infusing black ink with color. They dry quickly and are smear-resistant, which is great especially for left-handers. Writing is a smooth experience, and the lines are crisp. The pigment-based ink is acid-free, water-resistant, fade-resistant, and of archival quality. The pen is stylish with a dark barrel and sleek stainless steel accents.
This set contains 5 colors: Brown Black, Green Black, Purple Black, Red Black, and Blue Black.
Recently discovered the deliciously smooth Jetstream line and decided I needed a
few more colors! These colors would be great for a professional setting since
they're are very muted and not even as bright as the photo. They add just
enough visual interest to your writing without being in-your-face vivid like
some other ink colors.
The pens write with a solid line and do not skip. The inks all feel pretty much
the same on the paper, none standing out as better or worse from one another -
very happy with the consistent quality. The ink dries very quickly and does not
smear so these would be great for lefties.
The pen bodies are covered almost completely in rubber, giving them a good
tactile feel. The clip and clicker are solidly built.
These are some of the best ballpoint pens I've ever used, I'd highly recommend
trying at least one of the black pens from this line if you haven't already...
you'll be hooked!
Even though I usually prefer very fine line width, with those Jetstream RT BLX
1.0mm ballpoint pens I am changing my mind on that. They write EXTREMELY smooth
and the black infused colors add a classy touch to whatever it is you are
writing. Absolutely fantastic.
Although the pens are less smooth than the more mainstream version such as
Uni-ball sports I don't know why it is called sports, I find that these pens are
just what I need for what I use them for. I would not recommend using them for
writing notes or putting out sentences of ideas for others to see because the
balls are too thick to read clearly and the writing is not really smooth.
I would use them for writing notes beside my notes to test myself. The thick
ball would actually be good for doing those stuff because it would give a sense
of calmness or serenity that I am just writing them beside it and not being
serious and expecting that the writing would be clear.
Two words: secondary [pens] and not "being in-your-face vivid" like the guy who previously
Best Use: Side notes on your notes that you do not intend to refer to them again (it can
be to self-test yourself or making corrections etc.)
Worst Uses: Writing actual notes with it or an actual essay for the teacher to read
Had tried the gel pens first and liked the colors. The ballpoint pens don't
seem to have as much black as the gels. Also Jetstream regular blue, red and
black pens have nice bold lines and do not skip. The lines on these seem
thinner and the green infused black tends to skip.
