It's a bummer that this..., September 23, 2011
It's a bummer that this mechanical pencil has been discontinued. I love JetPens
because they offer the best selection of writing tools!! I have a lot (!) of
mechanical pencils. They each have their own personality. The Millino, for me,
has the most stable/solid feel to it when writing with it. I'm confident that
the lead will not break and will give me exactly the amount of control I need
when writing with it. It is an excellent 'staple' mechanical pencil. I wish
that I'd purchased more than the one : (

This pencil is incredible!!! When writing, the lead is hard to break because of
its clutch mechanism. Also, the Millino saves lead. Buy one!

I bought this pencil..., December 9, 2010
I bought this pencil to use up the lead remainders from other pencils, but more
and more I find myself reaching for it first. It has good weight, balance, and
girth that make it comfortable to use, and it works as advertised in clutching
the lead down to the end. I do wish that the point extended out further. I'm
accustomed to using drafting pencils with the 4 mm sleeve. The front end of the
Millino feels stubby after using my other pencils. I'm getting used to it
though.
The clip is a weak point. I wish that they had used metal instead of plastic. It
will grip a pocket just enough to stay put, but barely.

The big deal is that..., December 4, 2010
The big deal is that this pencil will use up a whole stick of lead. I don't
think I'll ever find out if it does for two reasons. First, it has a fixed
sleeve point (doesn't retract into the body, which it looks like it should from
the pictures) which, though conical, stabs the cloth of a pocket (and possible
skin) making it awkward to carry around. Second the clip is weak and won't grab
the edge of a pocket well enough and it feels like it could break off easily. If
these are not problems for you, I can recommend its weight and grip, which are
excellent for a pencil. It feels very secure in my hand. I will leave it at my
desk and use it there, but I usually grab my pocket when I need to write, so it
is going to roll off to some dusty corner, abandoned and alone, just because I
cannot shove it in my pocket. Too bad.
