I've found that this particular grade of lead is great for super dark writing.
It really stands out on the paper. It's almost as dark as a ballpoint pen. But
with my style of writing, every other sentence I'm advancing the lead. I guess
thats what I get for using such a soft lead. It also dosen't work well with the
Uni Kuru Toga. The mechanism that turns the lead dosen't turn the lead far
enough for a softer lead so you still end up with broad points on the lead.
Bummer! But still a great product!

I am a pencil portrait artist and I give this lead the highest rating. It is
soft and dark, but not so delicate that it breaks all the time. This I can
really work with.

Uni-ball NanoDia Low-Wear Pencil Lead - 0.5 mm - 2B
I'm a fan of Pentel's Ain Stein lead. However, I was using the 2B Stein lead in
my Lamy 2000 and it was breaking more then I could tolerate. So, I switched to
the Uni Nano Dia and, voila, breakage dropped significantly. The Nano Dia seems
as dark as the Stein, but perhaps a previous reviewer is right that this Nano
Dia is a little harder.
In any case, highly recommended.

This lead is quite good....,

Uni-ball NanoDia Low-Wear Pencil Lead - 0.5 mm - HB
This lead is quite good. It does exactly what the title suggest. It also has a
high capacity rate with 40 lead pieces in each case this is an exceptional
number comparing it to the tacky lead they sell at wallmart and so on. I highly
recommend this

the lead is indeed durable....,
April 4, 2009
This review is from
Uni-ball NanoDia Low-Wear Pencil Lead - 0.5 mm - 2B
the lead is indeed durable. writes well. smooth, but as you would suspect,
because of their construction, the grade of the lead itself seems to be a bit
harder than whats indicated on the label.
that said, its a great lead, doesnt smudge too much and the lines are dark and
crisp. just something to keep in mind when making your purchase, if you are use
to a softer darker 2b, you may want to try the 3b instead.

Uni-ball NanoDia Low-Wear Pencil Lead - 0.3 mm - HB
When I first ordered these leads I was skeptical because these leads are new on
the market. As I found out these leads are magnificent!! The lead smoothness is
superb!! I love the way that these leads glide across everything from newsprint
to coarse canvas. These leads do not catch or rip the paper. They offer a smooth
dark lines(More so that I would have expected from a low wear lead). I have not
broken one yet which makes me feel confident to use these leads espically across
fiberous canvas(I always break leads over canvas). I have tested these leads
against other leads that could be compariable in quality and strength. In my
personal opinion these leads are the absolute best leads that I have used so
far!! The best thing about these leads is that they last forever!!
I defenitley recommend the use of these leads. Mitsubishi UNI really outdid
themselves this time around.
To all those who want to use the best of the best don't hesitate to try these
UNI NANO DIA leads right away.

Uni-ball NanoDia Low-Wear Pencil Lead - 0.5 mm - 2B
Before, my main lead was the orange AIN lead from Pentel. I thought previously
that that lead was perfect as it was dark and strong. However, I was not
completely satisfied with the lead and it was not smooth enough for me. So, I
tried this lead and it was PERFECT. Now, this lead goes in all my pencils and it
is a joy to use because it is so smooth, dark, and especially STRONG!!!

This review is from
Uni-ball NanoDia Low-Wear Pencil Lead - 0.5 mm - HB
I purchased Pilot Neox High-Purity Graphite Pencil Lead - 0.5 mm - HB, Uni-ball
NanoDia Low-Wear Pencil Lead - 0.5 mm - HB, and Pentel Stein Enhanced Silica
Pencil Lead - 0.5 mm - HB in one order, after looking at reviews for all the
0.5mm lead available on JetPens, trying to find the one that erased the best and
was longest lasting. I compared all three in a Rotring 800, on Rhodia 80g
paper(A very smooth paper), without twisting the pencil(So they were all worn to
the same point when I wrote with them). This was my second favorite of the
bunch, although all three are very good leads, that I would not hesitate to
recommend to anyone. This left a slightly lighter line than the Pilot, about the
same as the Pentel, and lasted probably 1/3 longer than the Pilot, but 3/4 as
long as the Pentel. It erases nearly perfectly, leaving almost no trace behind,
erasing almost as cleanly as the Pilot, but far better than the Pentel. Very
hard to accidentally break, being able to easily write with about 7mm of lead
outside the pencil, if I was careful, doing about the same as the Pentel did in
breakage testing.

This review is from
Uni-ball NanoDia Low-Wear Pencil Lead - 0.3 mm - H
The UNI "H" .3mm lead is equivalent to Pentel's "HB" lead. If you're going to
use different lead grades, then stick to one brand, otherwise you'll end up
wasting money on something you didn't expect like I did.

This review is from
Uni-ball NanoDia Low-Wear Pencil Lead - 0.5 mm - 2B
I got this lead because I wanted something dark for legibility. This lead writes
a smooth dark line at the expense of durability. It is extremely prone to
breakage (at least in my uniball multipen). I find myself switching to wooden
pencils because of this annoyance.

If you find yourself breaking leads, it won't work for you, just in the course
of writing I press too hard for it :( other than that however it's a good lead.

It's good, but I'm afraid Ain has it beat in the strength department. It broke,
Ain didn't. That's all I have to say. However it writes smoothly and I haven't
worn it out yet, it's also not in my main pencil though (sorry Ain won the
strength test so it's in my main pencil)

The lead is so thin that it tends to snap and there's only 15 pieces so I run
