This pen is designed for "extreme" writing situations, not just day-to-day desktop or classroom use. You pay more for the ability to write on wet paper, at all angles, and at any temperature. This pen writes very well under those conditions, and is an excellent all-around performer as well. It isn't quite as smooth as a Jetstream, but I find it smoother than your average ballpoint pen. I don't use the red as much as my blue PowerTank, but I like the saturated colour of the ink and its writing feel. I think the cost is very reasonable, especially compared to pens by Rite in the Rain (one of my previous favourites), or the Fisher space pen.

Too expensive for a ball-point pen. The refill is expensive oso. The grip is good and a very cool pen. But this is not worth so much money unless your writing capacity is not large and you can saved money and ink.

I didn't think this would be one of my top 5 pens, but it really is. The ink writes nice and slick and I love 1.0 nibs. Blue ink color is nice and blue (if that made any sense haha) and the ink is sort of wet yet does not smear. Really nice. I bought many refills for this one even though the refills are big (Tank, indeed!)

Not as smooth as my jetstream, but very smooth none the less. wrote right of the package. rubber grip is firm(which is still extremely comfortable) and of better quality than many many pens out there.

This is a great, cheap pen. I enjoy the bold line, but it does have a tendency to "booger up" as many large diameter roller/ballpoint pens do. Overall, I would encourage it - I'll buy again.

Another smashing hit from the folks at Uni. I work with animals and as such I come in contact with some pretty adverse conditions. These are my go to pen, hands down. If you are a law enforcement officer, military, or just have an unpredictable life these are the pens for you. Writes fine, but not scratchy. Ink flow is always smooth no matter the temperature or angle. If you tend to initial sign off sheets hanging vertically this pen will never let you down. Try the high grade if you require a classier look.

Such a great pen! the ink is very smooth, doesn't skip or blob. The feel of the pen in your hand is fantastic, it has a kind of grippy, controlled feel to it. The pen itself is a bit bulky, but that is really a benefit for me, having large hands. The retracting mechanism is probably the best out of all the pens i have, the spring mechanism has a very firm, efficient feel to it, and i have had absolutely no problems with it. When buying this pen, remember to load up on refills, you will not regret it! Trust me!

Ok, this pen writes in normal conditions as good as any regular ballpoint. Not as good as the Jetstream/Surari/Vicuna, but not too far off. I bought this pen + 1 refill for use in my job. I work security and I find myself standing outside in all weathers writing people in an out using security logs. This will definitely be my "heavy weather" pen.

This is the best pen I've ever owned. The ink is a nice solid blue and it writes in crisp, clean lines. Never skips. The ink literally lasts until the last drop. Although it's light, it's very sturdy. Best ballpoint ever.

This pen is as they say "ALL THAT" and a bag of chips...I LOVE IT! I need more, more, more - Keep up the great work!

i didn't care for the ink in this pen. it's a light color. the pen does have a good feel to it, but it didn't make up for that ink for me. it gives me a feeling of the pen not working proper.

The refill in this pen (I have two which I found somewhere several YEARS ago) is the nicest, never skip, never blob writing thing I've ever used! The body is comfortable with a very nice grip.

The reason I only give it a 3 out of 5 is the clip. On both of mine the clips did not last a month. One has been held in place by an o-ring since then, the other missing most of the clip.

Both are down to about 1/2" of ink left.

I plan to try the Smart series to see if it has a better clip. AND to see if it writes as good as my old ones!

I misplaced my blue Tank ballpoint and missed it. Now I'm ordering two. It is great, especially for a writer who seems to be getting arthritis. Thanks for carrying it!

Amazing ... it always writes from the moment it touches the paper, very smooth and precise.

Super pen. I like the grip and the fine point is great for my needs. This seems to have the same technology as the Tombow Airpress.

I love this pen! I keep one in my car, and carry one for field work. It writes at all angles, in wet notebooks, and when it's -30 degrees C. The 0.7 mm tip is a great size - fine enough to write reasonably small, but still wide enough to not be scratchy. I use Jetstreams when I'm at my desk, but for outdoors or in other non-ideal conditions this is a really good pen.

Great in very cold weather - like helping with doc sled races! Difficult to find a pen that works at 20-30 below zero but these do. Wish they came in a finer point though.

Hands down, strongest ballpoint you can buy today.

Excellent pen! Writes no matter what. I really like this pen and would recommend it to anyone. It is comfortable to write with and has a high quality ink. I would rate the ink as just short of the jetstream ink! And if you know the jetstream line you know what that means. An awesome pen at a great price! Buy it.

Just got this pen the other day, what a awsome pen. I tested it out writing on paper with some water on it, it worked just like it said. and also was writing upside down for a while and the ink just keep writing, usually a regular pen would stop writing. One of my favorite pens now to use.
