The BLX collection of Uni-ball Signo 207 gel ink pens features intriguing dark colors created by infusing black ink with color. The pigment-based ink bonds permanently with paper, resulting in strong colors and document security. It is resistant to chemicals that can wash away dye-based inks, thus preventing check washing (a common method of check fraud). The ink is acid-free, water-resistant, fade-resistant, and of archival quality. You will also enjoy a comfortable writing experience, due to the textured grip.
Dimensions: 5.6 inches length, 0.4 inches diameter (14.1 cm length, 0.4 cm diameter).
The ink dries as more of a brown with a slight red tinge than red-black, but
it's a nice shade of brown at any rate. I wish a pen company made a true dark
red or red-black in a retractable pen, but this isn't it.
To be honest, I was pretty disappointed when tried out this pen. I have always
loved Uni-ball signi 207 and the BLX series is pretty awesome. I had all the
other colors except red black so I got it to complete my perfect set. Sadly,
this color looks more like a darker version of brown than red which was really
disappointing because I was really hoping for a dark red color like the Burgundy
Red in the G-2 series. Other than that, everything else about the pen was super
nice from the appearance to the ink flow.
I work in accounts payable and LOVE this pen. First, I am the only one with this
color that is different yet looks professional. Second, I use it with all types
of office paper. I would not use it on the back of a credit card or on glossy
photo paper. I have never had a problem with it drying. I use about 1 pen per
month and am purchasing another box.
