I love this! Except the pen isn't the best quality... How do you change the pencil lead??? Help!

Very nice pen! But can someone help me with changing the lead? Can't figure it out!

Not a bad pen, but the quality of the components is lacking. The black and red pens don't write very well. The grip is good, and so is the mechanism that switches between the parts. Looks good.

I love this pen. I have a collection of them. The barrel is nice and huge and allows me to write for LONG periods without getting hand pains/cramps. the .5mm refills are tiny though but the pen is still well worth it. nice, thin and controlled lines. i love this pen.

I really like this pen, it works very well and is very convenient. It is rather unexpectedly quickly becoming a favorite pen. It's slightly on the large side in my hand, but the soft grip is very comfortable. The twist mechanism works very well and twists easily, yet locks firmly in place. If you're familiar with other Signo pens then you know exactly what to expect from the pens - smooth writing, fast drying, it's a Signo. Note that in addition to the black and red refills, you can also get a blue refill. The pencil has a bit of play and a springy sound when advancing lead, but it's solid and stable while actually writing. Very nice pen. The eraser is a bit of an afterthought, but I usually use a separate eraser stick anyway.

How to refill the lead? It's easy once you know how (I found it with photos on a pen review site): the pencil tip (silver tip + brass barrel) separates from the rest of the pen, just hold the main silver barrel, grasp the tip portion, and pull it straight out from the main barrel (it fits snugly and requires a bit of a tug). Put a few pieces of lead in, put the tip back in (it doesn't snap, it just fits snugly in place), and done.

Overall, a nice multi-pen for a student who doesn't want to carry around lots of pens and pencils!! I really like the pencil mechanism...!!!

Absolutely amazing pen. The mechanics to change between each pen/pencil works like a charm. The ink of the pens flows very, very nicely, though... that is expected of a Uni-ball pen. I find that at times the ink smears when writing. Other than that, I highly recommend buying this pen! It works very well, and it will save room in your pencil bags!

Very well made multipen! Lightweight, slim, good gel ink (I had to exchange the black for a blue refill, both great), doesn't feel fragile, instead it feels very robust. Among my favorite multipens. Worth every cent.

This pen writes splendidly. The pencil is excellent and even the eraser is high quality. As a teacher, red, black and pencil are absolutely perfect together.
Unfortunately, the build quality of this pen isn't so hot. The rotational method to select the colors just feels cheap. After long term use, the detents that hold the clip in the three extended positions have completely worn out- one has to very slowly and carefully rotate the selector to get it between the two 'peaks' that mark off the selection point- it's easy to overshoot, and now takes at least two tries to extend either pen. The pencil is a little better. I loved writing with this pen, and if it was disposable, that feature wouldn't have been an issue, but there's not much point in replacing ink cartridges if you can't reliably and easily select them.
Additionally, the ink goes quickly.
I won't be replacing it when it 's empty.

This is an okay multipen. You are much better off getting the SARASA3. First, the gears of this pen is mediocre. Sometimes the twisting mechanism gets a bit stuck and the force required to turn it is uneven. Second, I have no idea how to advance the lead (button on top didn't work), and I didn't really bother trying to figure it out because i was already frustrated with the twisting mechanism. I supposed it just personal preference but I really like the push down multipens as supposed to the twisty multipens.

This pen isn't bad....it's that there are other better pens out there that I think would be better. Buy it if you are certain, but if you are on the fence about this pen, then I suggest getting something else.

The twisting part just annoys me. I like to be able to find what color I am using in the pens quickly and I hate not having a visual reference of what ink I'm gonna use. I prefer the Zebra multi pens over this any day.

Absolutely wonderful pen. Ink and tip are so nice and sharp. Lines are very thin and it makes your writing very easy to control. I prefer this pen over the hi tec c coleto. I honestly think that this .5mm pen writes THINNER lines than the coleto/hi tec c's..... the hi tec c suffers from giving too much ink when writing whereas this pen controls the ink very well. i have never had an instance where too much ink flowed from the pen.

a minor con is that it is a little thick since it is a 3 in 1 but it's still quite comfortable to write with. for me anyway, writing with a thicker pen is not as bad as writing with an extremely thin one...

This pen is absolutely amazing, stuPENdous! I have searched for many, many years for a multi-pen that had red/black ink and a 0.7mm pencil; however, I still haven't found one, so instead of ordering a $75 dollar metal one I might not like, I spent $11 dollars, including shipping, on this plastic thing. It arrived three days before the posted delivery date, surprisingly, it was not packaged, just a pen in a padded envelope, but it was pristine. I wasn't aware it didn't have a storage for pencil lead, but no matter the 0.5 mm pencil is tougher than I thought, I have a heavy hand and break 0.5 lead easily, not so far with this pencil, might be the type of lead I haven't tested that out another yet. Very smooth grip, but minuscule eraser, almost a joke-those funny Japanese. Super Kool!

okay when i wrote that review i didnt get the pencil yet, but i have it now, an it rocks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! all you do is twist the top, and it works great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the pens work SOOOO well, and the pencil is cute... this is my new favorite pencil of all time, and it is like getting three things in one! it is the best "buy for your buck!" GET THIS PENCIL WHEN IT COMRS BACK IN STOCK! (when i ordered mine 2 weeks ago there were only two left so... yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) GET THIS PENCIL! it is soooooooooooooooo cute in pink

okay i got this pen/pencil and i ordered it 5 buisness days ago, but it didnt come yet... anyway how does this pencil work?!!??!?!!

This is my go-to pen/cil for when I can only carry a few things while out sketching. The gel pens are a pleasure to use (waterproof when dry, the norm for the Signo line), but like another reviewer stated, DEFINITELY have some refills stashed somewhere! I was also pleased to see that the red was a true red, not pink or orange-y.
