The first time that I used a Uni-ball Signo RT, I was in love. I had gotten it
in a random set of pens from one of my mother's co-workers who was moving to
Japan. I have spent the last six years or so trying to find more of them!
Many pens will try to measure up, but I have yet to find a pen that matches
combination of the smooth writing flow and the precision of the .38mm tip. I was
so excited to find these pens available on JetPens! I immediately bought the
8-pack, plus two black singles, a lavender-black single, as well as a blue
single. I couldn't be happier!

These are like the awesomest pens in the .38 category. The colors are very
vibrant and they write smoothly. they are also great for sketching if you sketch
with pens

These pens write the best for .38 mm. Now for some of the colors are a little
off from it's barrel color. So don't buy these pens based on barrel color. The
colors aren't neon-ish either. I like how each color has the same color barrel!
No way you can get confused there xD

April 16, 2011
My favorite pen. Smooth consistent inkflow combined with a super dense ink
formula all in a pen that's light and retractable (easy to use on the fly) makes
this the first pen I grab for 99% of the time. The set is great and the extra
colors really makes it a must for people who are OCD when it comes to
organizing.

After buying a single blue black Signo, I just knew i had to get more the first
time I went to class and took notes with it. It's an awesome pen for those of us
who writes fairly small. After I'm done with this batch I'll definitely get
more.

These have become my new everyday fave. I bought a few colors and now I am back
for the pack. I will be getting extras of the ones I ordered too, the blue black
and the lavender black. NICE!!!

By far my very, very, very favorite pens. I love how easily they can take up a
rapid note-taking session, switch to an artful doodle, and still maintain a
smooth flow. Fantastic if you have super small handwriting (engineer-style) or
need to annotate papers/texts. I find they are much finer than the G2s, but
write smoother than the Signo Bit (0.18). I stock up on these like crazy, and
people keep trying to snatch them away! My only complaint is the lack of a green
pen, and I always break off the little plastic clip for some reason. But that's
a small price to pay for such a fabulous pen set!!!! AAA+

I love these pens but would prefer capless "click" format in 0.28 size. I love
the color options, too. Very smooth, ideal for any micro-writer, hardy when
dropped, and no cap to take off. Looking for RT UM-128!

But, I agree with the person who says that its bad that they don't have any
green! 3 blues, but no green?! Green is my favorite color, so I consider this
they're only drawback.

June 21, 2007
I really like these pens, and I highly recommend them. They write VERY smoothly,
and almost never skip a word/letter. Thinner than the G2's, but easier to write
with than the Signo Bit (0.18), its just the "write" size!
Also, I like the retraction. No caps to lose!

quite possibly my new favorite pens! much much thinner than my beloved G2s, but
without the skipping of my 0.18 signos. AND... i love that they're retractable.
no pen caps to drop/lose! my only gripe? three blue pens... and no green!

These are similiar to the DX, except that the ink that comes out is very thin,
thinner than the DX. Similar to DX, it features the smooth handwriting and hasnt
leaked for me.
I would recommend this alongside the DX, they are similar but it dpeends if you
want the cap or not.

Uni-ball Signo RT UM-138 Gel Ink Pen - 0.38 mm - Black
While the 0.38mm tip writes fine lines, I am rather disappointed in the ink
reservoir. If you pay close attention, the inner diameter on the refill is
much smaller than most normal refillable pens which explains why these pens have
such a short lifespan. The inner diameter on this refill is 2mm (approximately
3/32”) whereas other pens, like the Zebra Sarasa or the Uni-ball Signo 0.5mm,
have a much wider inner diameter. These pens have a 5mm (approximately 5/32”)
inner diameter, resulting in 2.5 times more ink than the Signo 0.38mm RT.
It’s a great price, especially for those who love super fine tips. Me?
I’ll take the extra ink with a 0.5mm tip.

Uni-ball Signo RT UM-138 Gel Ink Pen - 0.38 mm - Blue Black
I don't think there is a material difference between the ink output of the RT/DX
lines. Other than the obvious ink capacity of each refill, I prefer the
retractability, grip and design in general of the RT. Definitely one of my
favourite gel pens - it writes a lot better on 'normal' paper than the Hi-Tec-C
line, although I still prefer Hi-Tec-C 0.3mm tips if I have better quality
notebooks to use.

Uni-ball Signo RT UM-138 Gel Ink Pen - 0.38 mm - Blue Black
I am obsessed with this pen! I bought a whole box of them (10)!!! The fine
writing line is perfect for fitting a lot of information in a small space.
Especially filling out forms. I used to be a business person and was very strict
about using black ink. Whatever. I then switched to blue ink feeling it was more
expressive. The blue/black ink gives a perfect balance of color.

Uni-ball Signo RT UM-138 Gel Ink Pen - 0.38 mm - Black
To the guy who is complaining about the reservoir size. It isn't that the .38
size has a smaller reservoir in particular, it's that the retractable signo's as
a model have a smaller reservoir. Any size of signo DX models will have the same
size reservoir. If you want .38 and still want a big reservoir go look at the
.38 signo DXs. They also come in .28 and .5 btw. Anyways, the pen itself has
been good to me as all the models of signo I've tried have been. Other than that
sometimes not having to worry about a cap can be a good thing. Also, the grip is
farther down the pen, which is better for me because I hold pens closer to the
tip, which with the Signo DX model is pretty far up so I end up holding past the
grip anyways.

Uni-ball Signo RT UM-138 Gel Ink Pen - 0.38 mm - Blue Black
This is a decent pen. I like the look and feel of the Sarasas better, and I
ended up preferring their 0.5mm tip to this one's 0.38 point... it's just too
fine for me. Better suited for drawing than writing in my opinion.

Uni-ball Signo RT UM-138 Gel Ink Pen - 0.38 mm - Lavender Purple Black
I love the color of this pen--so much so that I didn't realize until I tested it
against my Uni-ball Vision Elite Micro (0.5mm) purple pen that they were the
exact same color of ink! So now I have two of the same color, just different
widths. If you're looking for this color in a wider width, try the Vision Elite
in micro or bold (0.8mm) in purple.

Uni-ball Signo RT UM-138 Gel Ink Pen - 0.38 mm - Lavender Purple Black
I love the light, ergonomic style of this pen and the fact that the soft grip
extends further down the barrel. The barrel is just right, not too slender or
too chunky. The best part of all is the fabulous ink color that is suitable for
the office as well as more informal venues. The ink is waterproof, writes
smoothly, is highly readable and easy on the eyes, and never skips. My only wish
is for a greater ink supply.

Uni-ball Signo RT UM-138 Gel Ink Pen - 0.38 mm - Lavender Purple Black
This pen is simply awesome. The colour is beautiful and it's really smooth too.
Writing with such a smooth fine point makes my normally terrible handwriting
mildly legible. I'm definitely buying a multicolour set of these on my next
order to replace my G-Tec-C set.
