Color is not as nice..., August 17, 2010
Color is not as nice as the Zebra Sarasa 0.4 in light pink or Morning Glory Mach
II. This pink tends to be going more toward a coral which was surprising to me
since the body is so pink and a nice shade of pink at that. Oh well. I may give
it away.

First off, I'm biased..., November 24, 2010
First off, I'm biased -- I ONLY write with the UM-138 Gel 0.38 mm pens (yeah, I
know how that sounds, and yeah, I am a bit OCD, what can I say?). So I already
love everything about the body of the pen (grip, shape, clicker, etc.). In terms
of the color of the ink in this particular pen, I adore it. I write neurotically
small, and I love underlining and making notes in books. This pink color is like
a highlighter, but without the annoying swath of color that a regular marker
produces. I love this pen. I love this color. The only downside is that for some
reason the pink ink tends to ball up at the tip of the pen, leaving behind a
small blotch of ink every now and then. This doesn't happen with the other
colors.

Smoothness: okay
Precision: okay
Weight: light
grip feeling: okay
cushion: solid
Overall: Okay. I personally prefer Pilot G-Knock Retractable Gel Ink Pen - 0.38
mm
for better grip and better nonslip feature of the cushion.

While the 0.38mm tip..., June 8, 2011
This review is from Uni-ball Signo RT UM-138 Gel Ink Pen - 0.38 mm - Black
While the 0.38mm tip writes fine lines, I am rather disappointed in the ink
reservoir. If you pay close attention, the inner diameter on the refill is
much smaller than most normal refillable pens which explains why these pens have
such a short lifespan. The inner diameter on this refill is 2mm (approximately
3/32”) whereas other pens, like the Zebra Sarasa or the Uni-ball Signo 0.5mm,
have a much wider inner diameter. These pens have a 5mm (approximately 5/32”)
inner diameter, resulting in 2.5 times more ink than the Signo 0.38mm RT.
It’s a great price, especially for those who love super fine tips. Me?
I’ll take the extra ink with a 0.5mm tip.
