With their Signo RT1 pen, Uni-ball unveils an innovative tip design. The tip is rounded and edgeless to reduce friction against the paper, resulting in a super-smooth writing experience. Mirroring that smoothness is the simple body consisting of a clicker with clip, and a rubber grip that blends almost seamlessly into the barrel.
Really excellent tip, pleasant writing experience for 80 percent of the length
of the pen - the problem lies in the RT area. Once it's clicked into place, the
button is loose and rattles as you write. This is even more annoying than it
These pens are the smoothest writing of the micro gel pens that I've tried. They
make using a small Doane Utility notebook as a bullet journal possiblem since
with these you can write in each block of the grid.
Not only does this pen rattle, I find it very scratchy to write with.
Unfortunately I am one of those people whose handwriting is highly affected by
the smoothness of a pen. With this pen I write like a first grader. I hope this
gives you an idea of the scratchyness we are talking here. I can imagine a
person who does not put a lot of weight on the pen while writing and who likes
fine lines might enjoy this.
