With their Signo RT1 pen, Uni-ball unveils an innovative tip design. The tip is rounded and edgeless to reduce friction against the paper, resulting in a super-smooth writing experience. Mirroring that smoothness is the simple body consisting of a clicker with clip, and a rubber grip that blends almost seamlessly into the barrel.
I purchased this pen because I needed a green pen. My favorite pen is the
Uni-ball signo RT UM-138 pens but they do not come in a green color and after my
experience with this pen, my preference is still the other pen.
I love the color, it's a really pretty green - probably like a shamrock green.
What I don't like is the finger grip. The pen tip is very close to the gripper
and I don't care for the very conical shape at the end. If I hold the pen at a
comfortable grip, my fingers are too far away from the pen tip and the line ends
up skipping. I would say these are mostly minor issues and not enough to stop
using the pen all together.. In fact, I would probably buy this again if I
needed another green pen.
The grip is really hard and uncomfortable....I thought it was going to be like
the frixion erasable pens in 0.5 but those are way more comfortable to hold. I
find the rattling noise the clip makes to be really distracting as well. I'm
sticking with the DX model.
Very nice, a little scratchy and can skip a little bit while drawing a steady
line, but the feel of the pen is great in the hand, as the grip is soft yet
non-yielding. Haven't tried to purchase refills for this yet so can't say if
there are any. The clicking mechanism is a little loud for a classroom.
Lovely color, feels nice in the hand, and the retract mechanism feels reliable
and solid. I will be reordering more of these, but in a larger sized tip to fit
my personal preference. If you like an extremely fine point--and that's what I
wanted to try--these are for you.
