Great value for what you're getting. Very smooth, very nice. I'd be using these instead of the DX if they had this in 0.38. I actually prefer the pen without the rubber grip, since it makes the pen look more minimal. Often borrowed, rarely returned. Get more than one.

there will no other gel pen as smooth as when you are writing with um-100. Although this pen may look ordinary but its performance can be compatible with world class gel pens. the advantages of this pen are: smooth handwriting, no skipping of ink, quite a long ink life, a non-tidious writing hand while using this pen. And of course, this a good pen with dark ink which most you guys will love it. Try investing one urself, you guys will go 'woah, smooth!'

This gel pen is smooth and has a lasting ink with cheap refill,except that it doesn't have any rubber grip. abit disappointed on this part. Nevertheless, THIS IS A GOOD SMOOTH AND CLASSIC PEN!

I have to blame this pen because I abandon my MONTBLANC starwalker. Why? Uniball Signo ink is so smooth that I can't find any pen that comes close. Just buy one and try it. The great thing of this pen is that you can write very well on any type of paper. I am extremely picky at paper. Only this pen can withstand the worst and the best of all paper and still yield beautiful handwriting. However, Mitsubishi did not make any high class pen based on this technology of ink. That really saddens me.....

Great smooth writing pen with dark ink.

Absolutely awesome pen. It's very very smooth and it's a pleasure writing with it. This was my first Signo and I am very happy with it. I highly recommend this to anyone who wants a smooth writing pen.

This is a great pen for 0.5 mm. It is a deep black and doesn't smear if you give it like 4 seconds or so. Smoothness wise I think it's not ubber (yes, I said ubber) smooth and the flow of ink is good/okay, but not the best. The barrel is very simple plastic barrel. This pen is a pen worth buying thought.(:

It rights incredibly well. The black colour is a bold dark colour, and does not feather, skip, or bleed through. Comfortable to hold, grip and write with. But after writing on top of dry white-out (tape) lightly, this pen jammed and stopped working.

Excellent silver ink pen. I just picked up a large sampling of different brands of metallic pens on Jetpens to find the best one, and I think Uni Signo UM-100 is my favorite! (I just wish the gold UM-100 would come back in stock because I reallyreallyreally want to try it too!)

Signo UM-100 silver is almost like a paint pen (without the paint pen smell) because the ink is so opaque, shiny, and pretty, and the pen writes soooo smoothly, I wish I could write everything in silver ink.

Like another reviewer said, I didn't expect it to work so well on light paper (because most silver pens don't show up on white) but the UM-100 silver shows up just perfectly on both light and dark paper.

I'll definitely order 2 or 3 more Signo UM-100 silver pens...just as soon as the gold UM-100 is restocked, hint, hint! ;-)

This pen is AMAZING on black paper. I definitely recommend this. On white paper it is kind of hard to see, but that's for all silver pens. The ink flows very freely, and is really vibrant. I will most certainly buy this again.

These pens perform super well. The ink flows beautifully without skipping. However, my only gripe is that the colours available are ugly. If they could combine the colour selection of the Hi Tec C pens with the quality of the UM-100's mechanics, it'd be a match made in heaven!

Amazing pen, great flow and consistency. Didn't skip. It's not the nicest looking pen but overall it's still nice to write with.

Excellent pen for note taking! nice, controlled and THIN lines, good size barrel, does not scratch onto paper, etc. This is my favorite pen for note taking for long periods!

When they work, they work great but ink flow can be iffy. Most of the time tapping it straight down on a scratch pad several times gets it going again. Also, have to give ink 2 or 3 seconds to dry before touching.

I love these pens! Writing with UM-100 (0.7mm) is smooth and free of skipping or scratching. None of the colors in this 12 color set are opaque, But, OH how I WISH THEY WERE!!!
In this set, the fluorescent red is (I think) the only color that JetPens does not sell seperately. And I actually purchased the 12 color set JUST for that pen!
Also, the case is just soft plastic/vinyl but is very sturdy, able to survive being crammed into a bookbag with many heavy books. I'd purchase this set again for sure.

Not your average light blue pen.... Finally, light blue ink that you can see! I usually steer away from light blue pens AND 0.7 mm pens. The color is usually too light to read easily. And writing with a 0.7 mm gel pen typically reminds me of driving a car with sloppy 1970s power steering. You try to aim for where you're going, but it's anybody's guess where you'll end up. This isn't a sports pen, but it goes where you aim it, and it looks good getting there.

It writes really well! The color is just as it seems! I LOVE IT! It writes smooth! Barrel looks simple and clean.! GET IT(:

HMM! This set of gel pens did not disappoint.! I am very satisfied with them. They write well and the color is good too! For gel pens they don't smear if you give it like 3 seconds and if you press hard on them there is like not a filled in line or so. I can't explain it, but if you don't write hard it looks super good. (: BUT IT! YEAH.!
