Uni-ball Signo gel ink pens are known for their smooth writing and exceptional ink quality. And, to everyone's delight, there is a sea of colors and tip sizes to choose from. Find the perfect pen for any task, whether it's writing meticulous notes, marking your calendar, or decorating your scrapbook with colorful captions.

Everything about this pen, from its solid construction to its carefully-formulated ink, ensures a wonderful writing experience. The sturdy tip does not bend or break, even with heavy-handed use. The pigment-based ink flows smoothly and is waterproof, fade-resistant, and feather-resistant. Much of that is due to special viscous properties of the ink. The ink is viscous while in the barrel, but as it passes through the pen tip during writing, the viscosity drops. This results in smooth ink flow. Immediately after it hits the paper, the ink returns to its viscous state, which prevents feathering. You are left with beautiful clean lines that you can enjoy for a long time!

I'm glad I gave these 0.28mm pens a try. They are an everyday use pen for me, I bought all the colors in 0.28 & 0.38 mm.
Hint to like-minded pen collectors, this violet color is the only one that must be purchased seperately, because it is not included in any of the color sets.

A beautiful violet color! Smooth, stable, thin writing as expected of the 0.28 mm Signo DX's.

WOW. I think I have a new favorite pen. And it happens to be purple.
-This pen puts down a Tight. Clean. Sharp. Line. I have just tried out Slicci's and Hi Tec C's, and the Signo is outperforming them.
-Even more impressive, it writes very smoothly for a pen with this fine a point. Definitely not scratchy. It blows the Sarasa, Hi Tec C, and Slicci out of the water, in this regard.
-Despite being smooth, it's still easy to control. My handwriting looks amazing.
-The pen starts writing great after the first word or so. After that, I only notice it going out a few times (usually at the top of my e's). Barely noticeable.
-It has a wider barrel than most of its fine point competition, which makes it more comfortable. The grip is nice, but still a little hard.
-The Signo looks like it has a lot more ink than its competitors. I've written a lot with it, and the ink level has barely moved. Compare that to my .3 Slicci ink level, which plunges after every writing session.

I'm going to be buying a lot more of these.

I absoloutely love the Uni-ball Signo UM-151's after buying a set of 10, and have been an avid user since. The Violet isn't included in the set of ten, and at first I felt sorry for it as though it were some sort of unloved child. I bought it expecting the same enjoyable writing experience as the other UM-151s but was disappointed by its horrible ink flow. I have notes that are ruined from skipping and having to go over letters and lines, and then finding sometimes I have to be heavy handed to get anything decent (I write lightly). The other 151's are a dream, but this Violet is just a strange ugly duckling that unfortunately doesn't become the beautiful swan as the rest of its brethren.
