As an amateur writer, I like to edit my work by hand. I type out my stories, then print them and mark ‘em up with good ol’ pens. After much trial and error, these Unis are my favorite by far. I have tiny handwriting, and the pen really gets in the trenches between the fine 12-point font size.

My main color to correct my docs is Bordeaux Black (a fantastic option to the dreadful red), but I want to switch up the colors in this line. The purple is a very vibrant and strong color, and immediately reminds me of Marie from Breaking Bad.
I found that this specific pen skipped a little sometimes, which didn't really happen with the other colors I have. Not sure if it's the pen or the color itself, but I thought I'd point that out.

I am very picky when it comes to violet/purple ink. This is one of my favorite! The ink in this pen is the perfect balance of red and blue creating a violet that actually matches the cap.

The pen writes very well and dark enough for everyday. Thick enough for my small hands to be comfortable writing all day.
I would choose this purple over the pilot G-2 milky-purple any day.

This is a really generic purple. It takes a little bit more pressure to write with than the black DX, but that's not really much of a problem. The ink is a little bit like the pink DX. Nothing extremely special about this pen in purple. Comparing this DX to the black one, I prefer the black. This isn't the best gel pen I've ever seen. It's okay. Okay as in "I think I can do better."
