DescriptionSpecificationsFrequently Asked Questions
Uni-ball Signo UM-151 gel ink pens, also known as Signo DX, are known for their smooth writing and exceptional ink quality. And, to everyone's delight, there is a sea of colors and tip sizes to choose from. Find the perfect pen for any task, whether it's writing meticulous notes, marking your calendar, or decorating your scrapbook with colorful captions.

Everything about this pen, from its solid construction to its carefully-formulated ink, ensures a wonderful writing experience. The sturdy tip does not bend or break, even with heavy-handed use. The pigment-based ink flows smoothly and is waterproof, fade-resistant, and feather-resistant. Much of that is due to special viscous properties of the ink. The ink is viscous while in the barrel, but as it passes through the pen tip during writing, the viscosity drops. This results in smooth ink flow. Immediately after it hits the paper, the ink returns to its viscous state, which prevents feathering. You are left with beautiful clean lines that you can enjoy for a long time!

This is the Violet pen. The close-up tip photo features the Black pen.

When it writes reliably, it's lovely. When it skips, it's horrible. Which will you get? You don't know, really, from moment to moment. Perhaps the blue or black is more reliably than the violet, but I'm going back to purple Pigma Micron pens.

First, I am a paper freak. Second, I am a pen freak. When the New York Times featured an article about these Uni-Ball Signo pens, I just had to have them, even though I have more than three dozen pens from various doctors' offices, press events, giveaways, etc. Because of the write-up, I never expected Jet Pens to have them in stock...but lo and behold, they did!!! And I do love these pens. They've evenly and smoothly glided over every textured paper I have tested them on, they're comfy in hand, and if you have nice handwriting as I do, they can serve a multitude of handwriting needs. Go for them. They're terrific and so is Jet Pens. ( I ordered many different colors.)
