The tip of the pen is very fine, and it does write well and is very smooth.
However, I don't feel like it will hold up to tough everyday use. I do not use
it every day but only when I need to write very fine. I am going to order the
.38's as I'm guessing the thicker pen may hold up better to daily wear and tear.
Overall, a good pen, very solid tip, and extra fine lines.

Wow, this pen is really something. I've had gel pens that were quite scratchy
even at 0.38 but this 0.28 was quite smooth. I scribbled quickly in large
circles and there was no skipping! The line comes out beautifully as it does in
Uniball's regular gel pens. My job requires me to write lots of info on tiny
cards and I've been looking for a pen that will lay down a fine line. The only
problem is the cards have what I feel is a coating that seems waxy, which has
caused gel pens I've used in the past to skip. Although those other extra thin
gel pens didn't perform quite as well as this one does. The tip is solid, so no
issues with bending a needle tip. Though, it is a very fine width, so I wonder
if it would take damage anyway if the pen were dropped...
If you're looking for something in 0.28, this pen really delivers. The plastic
casing the refills come in are also good for storing half used refills!

Uni-ball Style Fit Gel Ink Multi Pen Ink Cartridge - 0.5 mm - Black
My favorite gel ink. Already tried the Hi-Tec-C, Sarasa, and Sharbo X gel inks.
The Uni-ball Style Fit refills own all of them. Excellent and smooth enough for
left-handed writers with vibrant colors. The inks passed my water-resistant test
of running hot water over written paper. Now Uni-ball needs to create D1 refills
with this ink so we can use them in the Sharbo X multi-pens. Hurry.

Uni-ball Style Fit Gel Ink Multi Pen Ink Cartridge - 0.5 mm - Black
These are by far some of the best gel ink refills I have ever used. The writing
is smooth up to .5mm but anything smaller and it does get a little scratchy...
It's just the nature of a roller ball being that small. One drawback, though,
is that the ink never seems to last very long. I go through a refill in about a
month. I don't know.. maybe it's because I enjoy writing with these so much!

Uni-ball Style Fit Gel Ink Multi Pen Ink Cartridge - 0.5 mm - Violet
Love this gel pen! I'm delighted that I can have 5 wonderful colors in one pen
body for a reasonable price. The pen cartridge writes so smoothly, just glides -
what a pleasure. The violet is a wonderful color - luscious but not too
"cutesy". I do believe I've found my favorite multi-pen.

Uni-ball Style Fit Gel Ink Multi Pen Ink Cartridge - 0.5 mm - Mandarin Orange
This is my favorite color of the Signo inks. Yes, the ink does not last long,
like with all other multi pen gel cartridges. But it did last longer than I
expected. I have had this cartridge along with 4 others in my pen for three
months, and writing color coded notes for the last 2 months, I just had to
replace this cartridge last week. That seems like a pretty reasonable amount of
time to me, but if it doesn't seem reasonable to you, then maybe ball point
multi pens would be more your speed.

I got this and a few other colors as a gift. I was reading the other reviews on
here about this refill's short life span and have also stumbled onto this. For
me this pen is supposed to color coordinate notes and such and it lasted much
longer when used this way. It also helped that I had 2 Pilot Coleto's. I also
remedied the longevity problem for essays and long writing by using the UM-151
version of the Signo 0.38 which I also got as a gift (It pays to have a relative
living in Japan). I just got the 0.28 in 8 colors to replace my dwindling 0.38
inks and will be writing a review for those in a week or so.

Uni-ball Style Fit Gel Ink Multi Pen Ink Cartridge - 0.38 mm - Sky Blue
I'm sorry this brand of ink/pen refills is very difficult to write with. The
only way that the ink comes out smoothly on .28 and .38 sizes (only ones I have
tried) is if you write with you pen straight up and down. If you don't write
with your pen absolutely perpendicular to the paper, then the tip scrapes
weirdly against the paper (you feel the edge that holds the rolling ball
scraping) and the ink does not come out evenly, you keep getting areas where the
line goes blank or goes light and it looks horrible.
I purchased Hi-tec-C Coleto at the same time to test them -- and those are
AMAZING. no matter what direction you write in, I bought .3 and .4 size tips and
both are amazing. For larger amounts of writing, the .4 is best because
otherwise the .3 is quite thin. The .3 is ideal for taking notes in margins and
having super neat handwriting which is very clear and awesome!!!!

Exactly what I needed. The Style Fit pens are a dream to write with. I was
worried this wouldn't be the right color, but it is indeed the dark blue black
I've grown to love. Writes smoothly, awesome color, is packaged neatly and
safely, easy to replace. No complaints.

Writes well...and great color...but....
Lasts almost no time. I use this color sparingly and it ran out after what I
would guess would be two or three pages of writing. A true rip off. Can't
speak to the other cartridge formats...but these are unsatisfactory. Too, too
bad.

Excellent refill. Uni-ball Signo ink is put into the ballpoint. Note that, Signo
ink contains check fraud protection, as per Uni-ball's website. I submerged a
sheet of paper with a written sample in alcohol, bleach, and boiling hot water:
the tests passed and the ink remained. We need D1 refills now. Smooth writers
indeed.
